Thanks, Buck. He may have done for the Yankees what Seth Meyers did for Trump.

I predict the jays will get destroyed possibly swept. Jay's might eek out a single win

I kinda feel like we’re playing with house money in a way, just a shame that it probably puts off any chance of a ~ rebuild another decade. So I’m just enjoying w/e this is in the meantime, and am aware that we the kind of team that tended to upset our own stacked teams in the past.

We were never going to have a full “rebuild”, which is generally fine in baseball. You don’t need high picks in baseball to build an elite farm system. Teams like the Yankees and Dodgers never have high picks, and never rebuild, but they always have really good farm systems.

Over the last few years the Jays have gone hard after Ohtani, Soto, Sasaki. I think they’ll continue that in the future. And hopefully the success we’ve had this year, and the no longer uncertainty of the Vladdy situation, we’ll have a better chance in the future.

Yankees are healthy and peaking at the right time. Schittler didn't even hit 100 mph and couldn't find the zone vs Jay's Sept 5. He's a lot better now as seen from the game vs Boston

Buck Martinez and his unserious old man takes being in the Yankees' heads isn't a bad thing imo

They may be more fragile than I thought

So let me get this straight. Several months of getting ripped by the NY/National media didn't do the trick? It was the moment that Buck Martinez said a couple of things in early September? That is pathetic if true.

Anthony Volpe got beat up so bad by the NY media this year that the man should be checked for CTE.

I think nobody expected the Blue Jays to be where they are.

So let's enjoy the games and hope for the best. I just want the games to be competitive, as long as we get a good series it's okay that it goes either way.

Blue Jays are a good team and that is not something I would have typed out to start the year.

Go Jays!!!!!

Maybe buck was still pissed when Michael kay called us cheaters early last year in a series in ny after we fouled off so many two strike counts.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Torontobluejays/comments/1c7x87q/michael_kay_thinks_the_blue_jays_were_cheating/
What Buck did was publicly humiliate them on air after they already lost 12-2.Would have been better to keep it to himself, and have a yank roast amongst Jamie,Dan,and Madison off air,but Buck hates them so much.
We,ll see what happens, but if the Yanks are good, and focused early, we may know why.It could also backfire on them too,if they get emotional about it before the game,or during.
Kay accused or hinted that we were cheating last year early in a series in NY because we were fouling of so many pitches, and he got roasted for it on his show afterwards.
Dont pitch to Judge. They wont like that.Just like when we swept them here earlier with no Bo,and an underwhelming Vlad.....Lukes/Clement/Schneider/Barger/Straw are hardly noticeable or being talked about right now. They are steady, and did well in the sweep earlier this season. They will be factors.YES did mention, and say good things about Barger during the sweep earlier.
Hope HARD !

Blue jays can be sneaky good with both pitching and hitting..Kevin,Justin and yesavage can pitch lights out..guys like Barger and varsho are capable of big hits..clement and kirk, as well..we just need vlad and springer to be our stars. Other guys can surprise..Lukes, even giminez is getting timely hits last few games ..bullpen remains the wildcard

These Yankees are soft. This stuff gets under their skin. It doesn't motivate them.

Boone’s comments today were the first sign for me that the Jays have a chance in this series

Suggests weakness to even bring it up

Buck needs to stfu. He's only fueling the Yankees. He's probably still bitter from being fired as manager back in 2002 and being replaced by Tosca.

Are the umpires and their replay team in NY going to screw us over this series?? Let's see what happens...

3B: Barger
LF: Schneider/Santander
CF: Varsho/Straw
RF: Lukes

RP: Little

RP: Varland
RP: Fisher
RP: Rodriguez
RP: Nance
RP: Lauer
RP: Fluharty

Missing: Scherzer, Berrios, Bruihl, Borucki

Scherzer will be a controversial omission I’m sure but it would be negligent to put him on over any of those four starters or 9 RPs (absent Hoffman perhaps and we all know he’s making the team).

This ended up being correct with the exception of Bruihl being announced on the roster just now rather than Bassitt.

Can’t complain with that at all given how LH the Yankees are. Also all but confirms game 4 will be a bullpen game.
