His hand is cooked lol.

So he has hurt his hands going for steals and by dunking, you know routine basketball plays, & somehow you know that he has "permanent hand damage & he's evading surgery or has chronic issues" you don't see how far you've leaping here?

Brother he’s injured his hands every single year lol. He literally said he couldn’t feel his hand at some points during the season last year. Had surgery on his left hand the year before.

Also said this, clearly his hand isn’t entirely 100%.

Barnes with the passive pass to Yak on the perimeter leading to a turnover and then Gradey bricking a wide open shot. Sorry but that was hilarious and felt like I'm back in last year again

Overall though this is an intriguing team and the young guys developing will play a huge role in how well we do. I think the starting lineup is going to be really good.

Team is gonna struggle to start the season.
Gonna take some time to build that chemistry.
Can't inject a player of Ingram's calibre into the starting lineup and expect things to click right off the bat.

I was at the game:

-The best player on the floor was probably CMB. Looked really good on both ends.

-Ochai collided with Ingram hard and I was praying to god BI wasn’t injured. Luckily he seemed fine

-Scottie still can’t shoot the 3

-Ja’Kobe Walter is indeed with the 3rd stringers

What were the final stats? It would be insane to see CMB emerge as a starter right away. Moving Ingram to SG would give us a completely different identity. Barnes and CMB would be an elite defensive combo.

CMB is physically ahead of where a lot of rookies usually are, so wouldn't be surprised if he makes an impact earlier than expected. And he does come into to the league with a super power, which is his ability to blow up opposing offensive plays. I'm sure they'll still take it slow with him since he's a rook, but at some point the starting spot will be undeniable. RJ would probably be the guy you shift out to the bench.

And hope this latest Scottie thing isn't serious but dude is injury prone as hell with all the hand, ankle and facial injuries and it's a shame since its already high-key cost him so much on-court development time.

I’m really questioning if the move for Bobby is to gauge if there’s a team out there who willing to pay a big price for Scottie and take it. I think with their overpays and rooks they don’t really have any other significant trade assets. Another year like the last and Scottie joins them as a negative value.

If the next Kawhi deal is available, you do it for sure.

The Raptors have stockpiled a ton of depth and a ton of assets. It does 2 things for them. It gives them the assets to trade & it also allows them to backfill when said players are shipped out.

Guys like Walter & Lawson can easily fill bench roles if others are traded for a bigger fish.

I think the Raptors sit in a really good place right now. The have a ton of depth. A ton of young assets. The have an interesting team that should make a playoff push an keep the fans interested.

You just keep developing talent & keep developing team chemistry. Try to win as much as possible, then be opportunistic when big fish become available on th trade market. There is no rush at this point. They are in the driver's seat.

Sadly I think that's the move. His value is likely never going to be higher.
The good thing about BI is he can shoot over defenders.

With the money and time already committed- they are on the clock. As people see more of Scottie, especially if the teams main focus is no longer trying to make him look good, he’s may become an incredibley tough one to move, especially if he’s sulks at any reduction if touches and scoring. Those young players will have extensions due that we can’t afford to pay. We already are likely to lose Ochai after trading a first round pick for him. We wasted the Mogbo pick he’s already in the Temple role in year 2.

Our top 6 outlook is only due to two teams being injured - and even then takes a lot to break right to see us finish ahead of teams like Boston, Orlando, Cleveland, Mil, NY, Atlanta and Detroit, not to mention Indy. Look ahead to next year and we’re likely decending. There not really room for the young talent to increase roles.

I’m not sure we can trade RJ, IQ, BI, or Poeltl for positive value and the young guys don’t make enough to make sense to move. And it seems like a roster without a bonafide lead guard, too many sg’s and not depth in the front court.

what does any of this anti-scottie discussion have to do with the Media Day/Training Camp Thread?

can't you people make a Scottie hate thread and post in there?

CMB is our Draymond without all the childish behaviour & entitlement.

Has the defence and passing ability of Green with some of Randle's bully ball from mid to low post. He's almost guaranteed to be a major contributor come Playoff time. Him and JaKobe are prototype Playoff rotation players. Of course if he ever starts to shoot 35+% from 3 then he's a top 5 player from his draft class (period).

Everyone remembers the tank after the ASG, but frankly, the team lost a lot of very competitive games prior to the tank for lack of offensive talent down the stretch of games, sometimes due to lack of talent and inexperience and sometimes due to injuries. BI starts to address that, but I am looking to see who else ups their offensive game in crunch time. If one of the young players can show the ability to make big baskets in crunch time, it also relieves the pressure on BI since opposing coaches won't be able to game plan exclusively for him and IQ. It would be really dynamite to have 2-3 credible crunch time options on the court, in addition to Scottie's ability to work down low.
