It would be great if this translates to the season. Need as many guys as possible to step up

First of all nice nickname. I remember the battles between Wade and Kobe. Kobe always the most difficult opponent for Wade.

As about Wiggins, I wait for the season to start.
He is in the best place to succeed.
Personally I expect him to be near his career highs in ppg this season.
Let's see, if he can do this

Don’t we usually have a pink vs black (or something similar) game/scrimmage that is played just before preseason starts? What happened to that??

Yes, I was about to say that.
Hope that the hot takes about Heat players wait until the season to start.
I came to no conclusions about Knecht and Hachimura, just post their stats.

I know he's filling out and obviously as far as size he's even taller than Bam, but I am very curious to see if he can bang in the paint with true big men like he's saying.

I said all last year he's too herky-jerky and lumbery to guard 3s in the NBA.

The obsession with versatility is for Draft hype; the reality is you're lucky if a guy can actually play 2 positions.

I agree he's lumbery and it'd be hard for him to guard 3s. But I also don't see the strength in him to be a 4 full time either. Its not just about stretching the floor on offense, is he really going to be able to hold his own inside on defense? Especially when it comes to getting boards? I'm excited to see what he's been working on to grow into that big man role and how he looks.

Thinking of it, if Jovi can prove versatile enough, a huge lineup of Ware-Bam-Jovic would have a ton of potential.

Bam already likes to switch on everything, so I think he would hold his own just fine if switched onto most 3s. That's pretty tantalizing if it can work. Houston is planning on doing something similar with Durant and their young bigs.

To me he kept up with Luka and Wagner who both play the 3. Wagner is just as lumbery imo. He has the guard skills on offense and I agree with you about the strength. That's why I see him at the 3 longer term

edit-

We saw it once, last year for an extended run

The main improvement that I want to see out of Jovic this season is his assist per game above 4 with his turnovers staying below 1

I am suspecting a lot of Duncan Robinson plays to be called for Jovic with Bam.

I don’t see that at all! Jovic has never been a dribble handoff shooter.

If we are running DRob plays, it will be for Powell I’d think. Anyway, let’s see how it plays out.

Either way I’m stoked to have Jovic be a part of the main rotation - either as a starter or 6th man.

Yeah, <1 TO would be good, but the 4+ assist average will need some shift in how we use Jovic. Would love to see this though, point Jovic!!

There may -- may -- be a handful of big SFs Jovic can cover, but I just don't see any long-term potential for Jovic as a 3.

Hopefully this carries into the regular season and results in Mia smartly selling him off for draft capital and/or young players

Before he inevitably gets hurt/ misses games

Jimmy realized quick last playoffs that he’s nothing in those moments without Bam doing the things he does that don’t show up in the box score and free up Jimmy.
