Vladdy HR, Kirk HR, into the Yankees bullpen early, superb defence, Gausman cruising with just 50 pitches through 5 innings… about as good of a G1 as one could hope for so far.

If Santander continues to give you nothing offensively, put Straw in at LF. At least you have an exceptional defender in Straw at LF, if you do not want Schneider there. Santander should be coming off the bench.

He had plenty of good at bats last week also. The key is getting on base and having those good at bats count for something. He has failed in that category since coming up. I would rather have Straw in at LF, with his elite defense and base running over Santander and his so called "good at bats".

Just noticed the thread title, then saw the roof is open. MLB used to mandate that the roof be closed in postseason, iirc. Was that only in the 90s or was it still the case in 2015-16?
