Hoffman throwing 97mph is a good sign. Winning the division was so important. We really needed that rest.

Lfg! Huge win! I get it against poorer pitching but I'm not the yankees manager lol. Split the next 2 and I like where we're at!

We swept them with Bo out in the 4 gamer here earlier, and vlad wasn,t hitting much either. The bottom bangers did it for us,and pitching, and defense. We can win in multiple ways with multiple guys.

That was just about the least stressful playoff game as a Jays fan that I can recall in the past few decades. About 10 minutes of stress in the top of the 6th and a bit of an "okay, let's add some more runs on" feeling for the next 15 minutes then it was smooth sailing again. Contributions from everyone, pitching was excellent, defence was nearly perfect (aside from Santander missing that double off the wall which may have been caught by Straw) and we got deep into the Yankees bullpen.

I feel pretty damn good right now, but our chances of winning the series drastically increase if we can get to Fried early tomorrow.

Yeah, I think he set the tone here for this (presumable) win. That's what you want out of the 500m man and you could see the team's confidence lift seeing him today

Popkins helping him out here.

From Yankees Reddit

Whether you lose by 1 run or 9, it's a loss.

Fried starts tomorrow with the backend rested.

Cruz and Weaver are their most trusted RPs other than Bednar and both were used

Hope Boone hasn't learned his lesson and continues to use Weaver.
