Reminder, some didn't want Varland on the playoffs roster

I was close to the view that his spot was debatable on September 20th, as he was a bit of a mess. But he pitched well the last 10 days or so of the regular season, so he earned his spot.

It's always hard to determine if a guy stinks or not based on pitching in a blowout game.

We do know from game 1 that Varland and Dominquez pitched well in close games. None of our higher leverage guys have struggled yet in this series which is a good thing.

I think some (including me) wanted to see Fisher in more leverage situations, but the fact that he came in after Bruihl probably indicates where the staff slots him in.

Though some of these lower leverage guys will need to contribute to get out in the first 5 innings of game 4.
