First 1:46 seconds was what I was talking about in my post two pages ago. Romp 2.0 slows it down and breaks it down 100x better and shows the advanced tricks that lets the 6'1 Jase score like the 6'4, 6'5, and taller players (although he does have relatively the same wingspan as them).

Unclear so far if this is his equalizer to play like a great top 5-8 player on a team, or if this the very, very early signs of the next small star player in the league. Not similar playstyles but.. Tyrese Maxey 6'2. Trae Young 6'0. Jase Richardson 6'1.

Speculating, but no matter where Jase lands at his peak, we capitalized majorly on a draft where we entered as one of the tallest teams in a league of NBA rosters filled with short players and small ball lineups. This caused Jase to drop. Weltman hints Jase was basically the target at the ORL #16 pick already (if he didn't have to trade the pick for Desmond Bane), then wins a gamble to get him at #25 still.

Im not the biggest AB fan... But I think he'll be fine. As long as hes not asked to do too much on offense he should be okay.

Its clear hes not an offensively inclined player. Hes best used as a utility guy who spots up and cuts. He just cannot facilitate an offense to save his life. If the Magic used him like an Aaron Gordon/Alexander-Walker type guy he'd absolutely thrive.

Productive NBA players that can’t shoot are a dime a dozen in 2025. It’s such an anchor.

Nothing.

He'll be the primary backup PF and play 15-20 MPG.

Return to Orlando Magic
