I would like to see Shead guard Jokic ala Caruso video sessions. But yes, I'd like to see CMB lock down all the Nuggs! (Especially Brown.)

So, so excited for this game. The most difficult part of the year for me is when there is no NBA hoops. Glad to be back with the rest of the RealGM family! Cheers to the Raptors having a good season.

There 2 things I'm seeing tell me if you can project it as well .

1) I see Ja'kobe as the clear "favourite" of the non-rookie bench guys, and it's a way to throw off the media, and the rest of the league (for now anyway).

He's like the Wildcard player.

So, They want to stress test him as a "lead guy", with the 3rd group (Lawson is like the pressure release if something goes wrong). Give him those more intense on-ball reps.

It's like the same way they stress tested Scottie last season, but in more controlled environment.

look at this way,

-The starters are figuring out their chemistry, but they are a high level.
-The 2nd unit has a lot of cohesion, plus Mamu's new spacing.

When Ja'kobe plays with the 2nd unit (For Gradey) he's blending in, tilting more offense.

Then when he joins the 1st unit (for RJ), he's connective on offence, and defending the lead ball handler, giving IQ some breathing room on denfece.

We are really developing him infront of everyone, and they don't even see it.

_____________________

2) Let CMB run the 2nd unit. I know he's a rookie, but he doesn't seem like one, we can see if his hub skiil set plays right away.

On offence
Guards aren't physical enough, and most big have hard time with footwork on the perimeter.

On denfece
He can move his feet with guards.
And throw his weight around with bigs,

his long arms are a bonus.

Mistach nightmare while being a willing passer, and another option if play breaks down, or a reset.

That's Another reason I think he should be in the 6th man of the year category.
Just by his effectiveness, might not get the traditional numbers for it.

It's like we drafted a guy that's ending his rookie contract, not starting it.

Tanking is over. Screw that crap I hate the Sixers and Mavericks. Will be nice to root for wins the entire 82 games for once.
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars

Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

Anybody who isnt excited for raptors ball this year is nuts, alot of interesting things to look forward too with this group.

My main excitement is the addition of BI and CMB. One legit all star player when healthy and CMB who will surprise many with his advanced IQ and be in the conversation for ROY even if he doesnt average 15ppg

What do you guys think the rotation will look like? Got of of the depth of the bench wonder how they are going to stagger the minutes?

I really like Walter and I think he's a legit pro to be...but I just don't think they're gonna give him a huge opportunity this season ahead of Gradey. We have an obvious glut in this area and not everyone is going to get significant minutes baring injuries. I think Walter will have to take the back seat a bit to start. Gradey was drafted a year ahead so I think they prioritize him a bit more first. This is kind of the fair way to handle it

CMB is great but there is no way he "runs" the 2nd unit as a rookie...I'm not quite sure what you're trying to say about him but by no means is he a PG or even a point forward (at this stage of his career) thats capable of doing that. You gotta put these guys in situations to help them succeed not fail, thats how you ruin a guys confidence. I'd love to fast forward the process on this guy but doing that isn't a guarantee to yield results. Fortunately we can and should bring him along a bit slower and see how he responds, if he hints at needing more than great.

I agree, I think Gradey and Ochai get that look early on for a bench lineup. But still Ja'kobe is ahead.

So, Ja'kobe could be the first off the bench for RJ. If we're going deep into the rotations, this could work.

----------------

-CMB is the hub (a Vortex) of the offence for the 2nd unit.
-You get him the ball, in high post, or low post, or the wing, (bigs struggle with quickness/craftiness and guards struggle with strength) which can be a low key way to draw a double-team.
-You trust him to make the right reads off of that,
- if you want to mix it up, he can flow right into an off-ball roll.

On defence, he's another vortex, his zone is the Middle of the paint to the top of the FT arc.
-this gives him a section he doesn't have to worry about a 3 second violation.

He's the second line of defence for everyone in front of him, allowing them to be more aggressive.
If a ball handler gets in the paint, the guy at the rim has help from behind.

-if he steps out of the vortex to help, the defence can follow his lead, because he probably sees something they don't, and someone can "step into" his zone, just to occupy it.
He's comfortable on the perimeter, and contact doesn't bother him, he thrives on that.

_________

CMB and Scottie's duo nick name
AC/DC

They are 2 different kinds of current, and they are a "shocking" surprise for the opposition.

CMB's individual nickname,
The Vortex,

His biggest strength is the 79 feet from mid paint to mid paint.... And the other 15 feet, he's not to shabby.

If he wanted to throw this look with the starters, it's a viable option.

Adding the green font to the Summaries was a good choice. I think Bruce didn't say or do anything disrespectful about Toronto.

You can't possibly blame him for wanting to reunite with Jokic. A good season in Denver riding Jokic, and he'll get paid again. Heck, he might even get another ring in the process.

He got two years of losing but earned $45M. Now back in Denver for $3M
There goes my hero. Watch him as he goes.

He was getting paid well enough and didn't need to **** talk a former team even if he didn't want to be there.
