Bengals Lead Up - Flacco To Start

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Sat Oct 4, 2025 1:25 pm

 3:25 start on 10/12. Browning was decent 2 years ago filling in for Burrow but has been bad this year. They got waxed by the Vikings and Broncos. They face Detroit at home this week before heading to Lambeau. The early line is Packers -13.5. That scares the hell out of me. Lions are only a 10 point favorite against them this week at home.

Hopefully our OL is healthy.

Watson could start practicing this week and then they'll have 2 weeks to activate him. He won't be playing this game.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

If the OL is healthy, I'm starting to lean towards giving a shot to Morgan at LT. Sheed has been mediocre to bad so far on top of opening his big mouth. Morgan has been a LT his whole life and that's what he's best at. Morgan has excellent feet and positioning and is better with his hands. The only issue with Morgan is the short arms, which is why he was drafted late in the first. Teams were not sold on his length for the position. The probably won't pay Sheed with Morgan and Belton so maybe it's time to give it a shot.

If the Lions crush the Bengals like they should today and we struggle against the Bengals at all next week I don't want to hear how "it's because the Bengals have been embarrassed and said enough" like the excuses being given for Dallas and Cleveland.

If that happens, we have some major issues

I kind of agree with you. But Sheed can only play LT and Morgan backs up at least 3 spots. If you start Morgan at LT and Banks or Rhyan get hurt then you have to shift multiple spots on the line instead of just 1. I'm not sure Morgan is enough of an upgrade over Walker to do that. I also don't wanna read too much into 2 bad games by Walker when we have a pretty long track record of him being solid at this point

Fair. We all know Sheed can play better but I was also factoring next season in all of this. However you make a good point Morgan is the only one that can move around.

I do think if Sheed has a couple more bad games the next few weeks then it'll become much more of a conversation

Bengals are a mess. Any given Sunday etc but a solid win at home is expected.

Going to be annoying if Browning gets benched. He might be the worst qb in recent memory.

I can't believe Lloyd is still not ready after all this time.

Let's see what Brinson has to offer. DT was my concern before the start of the season and still is now. We're awfully thin at this position and this should be where they look to add before trade deadline. Wooden is doing a good job but he's undersized, same for Brooks. Expecting them to hold the fort for 17 games + playoffs is asking a lot especially since Stackhouse is struggling (understandably so).

I think we are fine if Wyatt misses a few games but we will need him at the end of the season and playoff time

Talk that they are pursuing Jameis or Russell from the Giants. Malik (not happening). Rypien is their backup. Clifford on the PS
