Dwight Howard Draft - Semi - MadNess* vs Dr Positivity

Here is a quick list of what you need in your writeup.

1. Specific years for each player on your team
2. Rotations and minutes for each player
3. Reasoning as to why your team will win and/or why people should vote for you.

Do not vote in this thread until both managers have submitted their writeups. Once the writeups are posted, I will add a poll, and the team with the most votes after 24 hours will advance. EACH MANAGER SHOULD ALSO VOTE FOR THEIR OWN TEAM IN THE POLL - IF YOU FAIL TO DO THIS, YOU ARE SIMPLY GIVING AWAY A VOTE. If the votes are tied, we will decide the matchup via AI vote.

You are not required to state or explain your vote, but you are free to comment in the thread if you want to.

If writeups aren't posted within 24 hours, we will vote solely based on the players they have drafted (and any rotations they have posted on their roster page).

PG: Chauncey Billups (2005: 11.4 FGA) (7 franchises)
SG: Dwyane Wade (2006: 18.8 FGA) (Multiple stints)
SF: Trevor Ariza (2018: 9.7 FGA) (Rockets)
PF: Kevin Garnett (2005: 16.6 FGA) (Lost to Lakers)
C: Kristaps Porzingis (2024: 13.2 FGA) (Non college)

PG/SG: Jason Kidd (2009: 7.6 FGA) (Multiple finals)
SF: Danny Green (2020: 7.0 FGA) (Lakers)

87.1 / 88

PG: Chauncey Billups (38) / Jason Kidd (10)
SG: Dwyane Wade (34) / Jason Kidd (14)
SF: Trevor Ariza (18) / Danny Green (26) / Dwyane Wade (4)

C: Kristaps Porzingis (34) / Marcin Gortat (8) / Kevin Garnett (6)

GL MadNESS

Defensive matchups: Billups on Payton, Wade on Pierce, Ariza on Tmac, KG on Tucker, Porzingis on Jokic (KG gets some minutes)

Our team is not as sexy talent wise but we have an elite defense with all 5 of our starters and our two best bench players being above great, our starting frontcourt D is extremely long which should work well together. The matchup is good for us with size on Tmac and Payton and two bigs who can spend time on Jokic. Payton and Tmac have to share the ball and the more time they're pounding it on the perimeter the less time Jokic has it, the effectiveness of Wade/Billups backcourt can be as good because they're a better fit. Wade and KG should be a good fit and when KG sits we have a nightmare 4 out lineup around Wade available with Ariza at PF and Porzingis at C. Payton and Tucker can't guard all 3 of Wade, Billups and KG, he will have some weaker matchup like Pierce on one of them. Kidd is better than Caruso so our bench has the advantage overall.

GL Dr. P

Another match up where I could shuffle in Bowen to start but I will choose not to as I have the upper hand offensively here.

I see a big 3 VS a big 4 here, as should everyone else.

Another series where Jokic goes off.

I’ll have GP3 on Wade as the POA. Tucker on KG.

Everything else will fall in line after that. Tmac on Billups, Pierce on Ariza, Jokic on Zinger.

Plan to attack with Jokic first and let everything open up for our creators and shooters.

I don’t see how Ariza can defend GOD Tmac for 40 minutes.

Prime GP3 would absolutely frustrate Wade, especially considering Wade can only attack and can’t really shoot from deep.

Spacing is pretty weak on Dr. P’s team.

4 Elite Role Players around the Big 4.

4 of a kind always beats 3 of a kind.

Vote NESS!
