I just got home and seen the box scores

Just wondering after seeing box scores, do any of you still bother watching the games? I just don't seem the point sometimes, I mean I love B-ball but ... LOL.

He only played 18 minutes.

Not this fault, NBA.com is acting up. The website has Trae and Jalen playing 40 plus mins.

Pre-season homer post alert:

If Ausar and Holland develop into league-average offensive players, playing the Pistons is going to be hell for the next five years. The defensive intensity is off the charts.

For Ausar, that means creation skills and a slicker handle, because his outside shot is a lost cause. For Ron, it’s a league-average jumper. These things could happen.

Yeah, espn box score stupidly had the 42 minutes as well and now it's fixed.

Thanks, everyone, for clarifying.

Houston is loaded up. I think they, Denver, and Atlanta did well this off-season.

I'm putting Spurs on people's radar for a more depth and balance and internal development team, too.

Well, it is pre season, but weren't you waiting for NBA to come back like a maniac. I started watching European Football, and it made me realize how irrelevant Basketball games can be, especially in the NBA. Season really starts when play offs start now, and even SIlver seems to agree with it. The main difference is play offs format, in Euro Football, there is no play offs, team with most season points win, so I watched Liverpool lose in October and I already fear this is where they lost the championship, the first game of the season is just as important as the last, every game is important, where in the NBA for example, who gives a crap when your team loses an October/November game, do you even need to watch at all?

I am not saying play off model is bad, but regular season shouldn't be this long, it is way too long for a thing that does not win you much of anything, season probably should have numerous elimination rounds if you want it this long, It should be phase one of the season, then teams at the bottom drop out, then second phase, then maybe even third phase, and then the play offs start.

100% agree.
NBA regular season is both: irrelevant especially at game to game bases and too long at once.

Once hype of new season dials down, around December, all the way up until late March, all games lose intensity and feel like friendly games until last several min in 4th quarter, assuming game is even competitive at that point. That is why every year we have those bench warmer miracle performances.

Play in makes things even more irrelevant. Even most mediocre team can still squeeze into playoffs. Among 15 teams from each conference, only 5 don't make it to play in or playoffs. It's bit hilarious to consider that 67% of teams make it

But due scheduling nba can't have "regular season champion" because not every team play against same competition equal amount of times.

Maybe they should grant regular season champion spot in second round to give teams at least some reasons to play harder ?

But yea... current concept of season is too long and boring and even players don't care, so why should fans? Until playoffs, aside from injuries, nothing that happens has any serious meaning. This is nothing new, it was Jackson or Popovich who called back to back games scheduled losses like 15 years ago?

Nah, he is not.
He hasn't played in 2 years and currently works for ESPN.
Basically, they added a couple of local US "free agents" just to not be too embarrassed. Other teams did the same in the past, I think the last one was that Raanana team last year (or 2 years ago?) with like 5 or 6 "free agents" in their NBA preseason tour.

To me Wemby looks noticeably quicker and more explosive. In year 1 and 2 at times it could look like he was moving through mud (a little exaggerated maybe) and like he was having trouble to get a quick burst. But in this game he looked so sharp and quick.

If he can stay healthy for 12+ years, he's gonna be the GOAT. That's a big if unfortunately, but I think its very very obvious that he has the highest ceiling ever.

For sure. I've been excited for this season since the trades started happening.

I didn't see yesterday's Nuggets game yet but I know the score, heard a podcast about it, read some stuff on reddit, and I'm still going to watch it when I get home tonight.

The boxscores were jacked up all game, even the running scores - and that was on all platforms.
