Ey... anyone thinks Scottie reached his peak already? Or is he just coasting pre season? His defense says otherwise.

Why?
If anything, post Ballmer/Kawhi scandal, it is very obvious that lot of things happen in NBA that are fans have no clue about. Just sheer reaction among owners when one is caught cheating, or complete ignorance and apathy toward action of Ballmer points out lot of shady stuff happen in nba.

Where is outrage? Where is board meeting to get him to force Clippers?
Instead, we got twitter drama of Marc Cuban who Torre played like clown he is.

League needs superstar in biggest market in post Lebron era, because league was complete garbage when Jordan retired. 1999- Lebron's ascendance was worst place League was in past 30 years. btw Lebron is "dropping bombshell" today, it's probably his retirement.

Luka trade still makes no sense and never will. You don't trade superstar without even calling other GMs especially not for 32 years old injury prone player who averages like 55 games a year. And after complete and utter riot among Mavs fans ( for a reason ), as fans were getting kicked out of arena, they "win lottery". Shocking.

In past 6 years two different teams gave up questionable trades in favor of Lakers and "won lottery".
First Davis - Pelicans, than Mavs - Luka.

Probability : They had 12.5% to win in 2019 with Zion and the Mavs 1.8% this year. .018 x .125 =0.00225 or 0.225%

Prayers for Nik's juevos, IDK what the issue is but nobody wants a "procedure" anywhere close to the boys.

"Nikola Topic will be reevaluated in four to six weeks after undergoing a testicular procedure on Monday."

Banks (and governments) literally involved with protecting pedophiles and people still think the NBA couldn’t possibly rig anything. Admittedly, I used to be one of those people that said ‘the draft is audited’… like that means anything anymore.

Wanna hear good joke. stay home, stay safe. Get vaccinated for virus that still exists as vaccination does not prevent infection, does not prevent ability to carry & spread nor protects you from virus itself. Or you will get fired.

Orwell's 1984 wasn't that dark.

NBA is private league. One thing that rolls everything is money. That's why nobody has balls to go after Ballmer. Because he is too powerful for them to stood against. But by doing nothing in post Ballmer salary fraud, league simply has no integrity.

Every single "strange " move from now on will be viewed through ability of cheating & behind desk deals.

And silence from other owners has never been louder. They either shut up because they afraid of own dirty laundry being ransacked or fear of Ballmer himself. In both cases only losers are fans.

How is Terry Rozier investigation for game rigging going? NBA rushed to tell everybody "he is cleared form wrongdoings" and FBI was like "nop, he ain't". NBA just wants to sweep everything under a rug. That's what they have been doing for past 20 years when it comes to scandals.

That’s a kid I’m really interested in seeing…hope he’s okay. OKC’s FO has built an insane talent pool for Topic to be forgotten and, possibly, unnecessary.

Again, hope he’s okay- poor kid dropped in the draft and missed a championship rookie season already.

Players were there for salary purpose, trade was done for draft capital.

I don't pay much attention nor care about Preseason, especially since it has been glorified practice for deep bench last several years, but for whatever is worth, KCP look very solid for Memphis last night.

I really don't understand why nba teams now treat preseason like it's complete garbage, not even playing starters at all. Feels like it went from "preparation games" to "nba forces us to play this but we rather would skip".

Agreed, pre-season is turning into the ticket sales summer league that your 82 game stars play a handful of. The only thing I like about it is we have more cameras on the court to form opinions on deeper bench players. That's me stretching what I am getting out of it though.

The NBA doesn't care about the consumer. It will bite them in the *** eventually.

Coach complaining about conditioning and even Penda noting that it is really odd to only have one proactive per day, as "even in France, preseason is two-a-days".

How much does a team need to coddle their players????

So is the majority of the money the lucrative TV deals? The eyes on it? If so, how does the rising costs of televised deals stack up against supposedly worse and worse ratings every day?

I don't know how that works. But I keep being told its a big part of the revenue which means more / higher contracts down stream. Are there other ways the NBA makes money besides jersey sales?

Unfortunately yes, causation is not correlation but it still seems to somehow happen.

When Mcgrady left for houston we got the NO 1 pick.

Now you can argue part of this is tanking. That odds for lottery were different ect ect.

All I can say is, it is what it is. A bad look.
