Yeah. These franchises are picked for Opening day for a reason. They are more likely to have rich histories, many good teams, and a depth of both high end talent and role players.

Re: Opening Day Pairs Draft - Signups
Ok upon further review, I think we'll still stick to 80s to now. Yeah, the top end talent is deep, but I think:
1) In both cases, bottom teams get pretty great one two punch. Difference is, in 90s to now the second round talent is likely to dry out quickly, which may make it less balanced. In the 80s version the cores are expected to be more balanced at least.
2) The overall depth for later rounds will also be pretty thin in rounds 3 and on for the 90s version, I prefer the looks of it in the 80s version.
Before we start, I'll wait a bit on comments on this

The old method resulted in some conflict between coaches and wasn't always fun. We all lose match-ups we didn't think we should, it's natural.
In any case, going back isn't practical simply because, as said, people weren't voting.

Got lucky with my draft spot, and kind of surprised that the Shaq and ANT pairing didn't go a little sooner, 2 MVP level talents to be able to be picked together.

Curry Shaq and ANT is pretty crazy. It looked like the bottom was going to be the place to be and it is playing out that way. Gulp

Thought about it, I didn’t want to have 40+ FGA’s on my frost 2 players and then only get stuck with high FGA’s guys on the swing back

Re: Opening Day Pairs Draft - Discussion
Well I rushed to make a pick while trying to get back to work and forgot I had Draymond when I made the OG/Tatum pick. Small ball with Green at C I suppose
Thought about Shaq/Ant with my first too but have had Shaq a couple times recently so went with Kobe
