Kudos to the OC and a HUGE one to the line coaches on both sides. QB1 made plays and the running game was effective behind a patchwork line that got more patchwork as the game went along. Pickens stepped up and so did Tolbert.

I honestly thought the Packers would rip us a new a**. Made the Packers my Survivor pick this week. Couldn’t be happier about getting eliminated. Some very winnable games coming up.

Forward, lads.

It feels weird to say this considering they had 40 points hung on them but the defense actually looked better than it did the first 3 weeks.

With that said here are a few observations:

First, the backup Offensive linemen for Dallas are pretty good. They don’t miss a beat with Brock Hoffman and TJ Bass starting. Both player really well. Also some dude name Nate Thomas made Micah Parsons his bitch for 99% of the game.

And speak of Micah, Packers fans were saying he this generation’s Reggie White. Well Micah is no Reggie White. With each game that goes by the trade is looking better and better for Dallas.

With that part in mind, Green Bay was WAY overhyped. Especially their defense. I thought they were supposed to be good? They let Dallas of all teams hang 40 on them. That’s definitely not one of the best teams in the NFL. That Packers 1st round pick might actually be pretty good.

Dallas averages 404.3 YPG on offense which is #1 overall in the NFL.

On defense Dallas gives up 420.5 yards per game which is also #1 overall in the NFL.

We own the two extremes.

The Cowboys are also getting GREAT value out of Javonte Williams’ contract. Look where he is ranked compared to the top 5 highest paid RB’s in the NFL.

He's really good, I'm a fan. He plays rough, kind of reminds me of Marion Barber. Their running styles are different, but his roughhouse refusal to fall on the first hit is similar to what Barbers was. He is just a very physical RB.

Paid attention to the Jets / Dolphins tilt last night. Jets have an interesting team that could be pretty decent if they could just get out of their own way. But man… they will take some stupid penalties at the very worst times.

Aaron Glenn has a project on his hands.

I still believe this Cowboys team will make the playoffs.

Guess it will depend on how the defense improves moving forward.

But overall, I don't think Washington is better than the Cowboys.

I’ve always stuck to the belief that you don’t know what this team is until Thanksgiving. They have a lot of time between now and then to get their **** together, hopefully they do.

Great game against the Jets.

Cowboys scored 37 points even with the O-Line missing 4 starters.

Offense looks great.

Jerry needs to upgrade the defense on or before trade deadline.

He has to be the best value free agent in the NFL. He will likely hit every incentive in his contract so he should get the full $3.5M for 1 season.

Giving up a 3th for George Pickens doesn’t look so bad right now either.

I don’t think he going to be able to do that until the draft. I will say though that the defense does look slightly better. I understand it was the Jets (damn they suck) but it was improvement. I think they will get slightly better as the season goes along however they won’t really be able to help themselves until the draft.

With Dak playing the way he is not way they look at drafting a QB, and with the way the top college QB’s have been playing that might be a good thing. So with QB out of the question they should look to beef up their defense.

This… is the point I keep finding myself gravitating to. Klayton Adams & Conor Riley are doing a terrific job of coaching these guys up. Williams at #3 in rushing and Dak #2 passing both reflect how well this patchwork O-Line is playing.

Coaching matters… ask Patriot fans.

LOTS of quick screens to Ferguson on the outside to counter a weak collapsing o-line and blitz. Which is brilliant. Those plays seem to always do so well for us.

Very good coaching on offense.

Now if only we didn't have one of the worst defenses in this franchise's history. They did manage to get a lot of sacks yesterday though.

This is with Dak missing a full two seasons. He'd probably be #1 overall if never injured.

I think I am actually reaching a point where I just feel bad that he has to play for this franchise. He deserves better. Because this season won't be any different than the others, even if we make the playoffs it will be the defense giving up 100 points which will lead to Dak having to throw deep into coverage. We can't do anything real with this roster.

Jerry said the Cowboys are open for business and he will make a move if the opportunity presents itself.

November 4 is the trade deadline.

The Cowboy offense is considered elite after 5 games.

Don't waste an opportunity to improve the team.

Who knows, maybe this is the season where we will finally see the Cowboys in the NFC title game.

I’m kind of on the fence if they should make a trade or not. Trey Hendrickson (30 yrs old) and Maxx Crosby (28 yrs old) would be the obvious targets. Maxx would be the better target if you ask me. He’s already signed and has 1 more full season after this one before turning 30. Maxx will likely cost the Cowboys a 1st round pick.

Hendrickson will need a new contract after this season. Now being 30 might help in negotiations but that’s not a position I want to be in. Plus the Cowboys typically do not sign players over 30 to long term contracts. Hendrickson likely won’t cost a 1st so that’s a plus.

If Dak can stay healthy and continue to play the way he’s playing now and give the Cowboys a reason to not draft a QB they have a chance to add a ton of talent to the defense with all the draft picks they have.

Giants beating the Eagles makes the Packers vs. Cowboys a tie game huge.

Cowboys not losing that game to the Packers is now significant.
