It’s only preseason.

I’m conflicted, I want him to be very good, tear the league a new one, but I also don’t want it. If he’s a good player, my belief in him (Brad’s drafting) was justified. However, if he’s good, we were paying him pennies, and we never played him even when there was no one else available. If he’s good, you could still resign him for a song, HELLO cap space!

Yeah, I don’t know how to feel. I’ll just TRY stick to wanting the best for him, because he isn’t a bad person, and he didn’t do anything wrong to us.

Joe better hope he isn’t any good, because I’ll be p’d at him.

well said. i hope he's good but i'll be mad.

for us to draft a player and spend 3 yrs and tons of time/resources to develop him into G-league MVP and then cut him for nothing coming back -- it's a pretty bad blunder if he does turn out to be a good player.

That's what I said about the old guys.
It's not their decline in performance, it's being able to stay healthy for 82 and games and the rest of the playoffs.

I was watching the 1st qtr. of Portland vs. GSW yesterday and GSW's starters look slow because 4 of their starters are old.

It's just a matter of time before injuries hit.

Like I keep saying to my friends, if age isn't an issue in basketball then Michael Jordan would still be playing right now.

I don't recall an Active Player ever having that.
Might be time for that Farewell Tour?

Should we make a Non-Celtics Preseason Thread?

Anyone watching this Knicks/Timberwolves?

I’m in my conspiracy bag at the moment… I think LBJ is going to miss a lot of games in the regular season. My theory is he’s going to miss a lot of games on purpose. He’s going to miss them because the Lakers play fine without him, so they will win games. Then he will be fresh when playoffs come and try to go out there and win a chip after saving all of his energy. All so he can have the energy to play well and to not be seen as Luka carrying him to a championship. Old man was exhausted last season in the playoffs, that was round 1!

This doesn’t mean, I think they will win the chip or even make it close to it, I really don’t know. The point is he’s about to coast through this regular season! He’s been a stat padder for years, but even though he only plays on offense, it tires him out, because he is chased stats.

Is his body declining? Absolutely. That’s not going to be the reason he won’t be playing IMO. Watch for it.

Caveat; playing all the bad teams won’t count in this theory because you really can play well against them without much effort, so he’ll definitely miraculously heal for most of those games.

No condolences for Mike Greenwell? I’m not even a Red Sox fan but R.I.P. to him. He was a really REALLY good player. Cancer sucks. Shame on the Red Sox fans in here who didn’t even post anything.

I was glad the aces won because that means my team isn’t that bad. We were one missed shot from beating them. It was that close! Thought Dom had very good moments against A’Ja, even though A’Ja destroyed them still.

Next season, we rise! I don’t care if I was only about a month locked in, WE RISE!!!

I was kinda rooting for Phoenix because I'm a fan of Alyssa Thomas and Dewanna Bonner from their Connecticut days. But I like A'ja and Chelsea Grey and those gals too. So congrats, Aces! Pretty dominant series from them and a well deserved 3rd title in 4 years.

So Ryan Kalkbrener Was one of the players that we could have drafted but Brad Stevens Decided to pass on with the 32 pick..

Starting today he went 7 out of 7 and 10 rebounds in 25 minutes..

While one preseason game means 0 you have to wonder if Brad Stevens Messed up Not drafting a good young center yet again. Filipkowski last year and now Kalk..

Old friend Bassey has 17 rebounds, 5 blocks, and two steals tonight. Why can't we ever land a guy like that?

Kalkbrenner was who I wanted. We all have our hits and misses though. The previous year I wanted Scheierman and he's looking like quite the bust at this point.

Yeah I would have liked Kalk. Time will tell.
One thing though, I’d rather have Minott, Garza vs Kalk so I might forgive Brad at some point.
