This is negotiating and placating. NYK is probably top of Giannis' list and if he ever wants out of MIL, he's going to hope NYK and MIL can work out a deal. I think MIL just wanted to make him happy by taking the call from Leon to say "See, we heard their offer and it's not good enough right now so let's play the season and see what happens." The pressure will build up on MIL if their season starts to go south and then Giannis' agent will likely put the pressure on them to actually make a deal. He may not come to NY via MIL but NYK and Giannis are going to try to make it happen. That's something that works in our favor... keep your eye on this.

Again I am not saying the deal is likely yet. However given that this news has come out that Giannis from a legitimate source that he requested SPECIFICALLY for Knicks is big.

This feels like a lets see what happens in the season and if Milwaukee has that feel of a non contender or onky a borderline contender (as theyve been) then Milwaukee will honor his request to move on. He has been a good soldier and respected by the organization. If he wants us specifically I think Milwaukee will oblige his request.

Will cost be KAT and another of our top 4 like Bridges. Obviously Brunson is the main untouchable.

Will cost be KAT in a 3 or 4 team deal where the picks we get for KAT go to Milwaukee? Would it somehow not include KAT? I just dont see Bridges, Hart, Mitch and all our few remaining picks being enough.
