As bad as the Bridges trade was I doubt it. I don’t think Milwaukee is ready to trade him and go into a rebuild. They are probably coming to terms but just aren’t there yet and it will likely another failed season for both parties to accept the inevitable breakup

Only way Giannis works in his 30s is if he's playing C, it's too hard to find centers that can space the floor to play with him, especially if we have no real assets after trading for him. He would have to be playing C if we traded for him, he does not work next to non shooting centers, which is why the Bucks waived Lillard so they could get Myles.

You trade for him if it's not more than 1 starter, like KAT + Josh or something like that, if you're trading KAT + either of OG or Mikal for him you're not winning anything. Depth is just as vital to a winning team now as star talent.

Giannis’ game is centered around his athleticism and won’t age well. Wouldn’t trade his for KAT of Brunson.

Losing his athleticism by 35 or 36 doesn't mean he will lose his height or his footwork or his defensive instincts or his playmaking and passing. He can pretty easily become a center by then. Better than KAT even without the athleticism. We're talking about a top20 player in the history of the game now.
Plus, Giannis is 30. Not 35.
If i were the Knicks, this is a no brainer.
The problem is that even a KAT, Anunoby, plus whatever player package still won't make it happen unless Giannis demands the trade.
The Bucks can get a galore of picks if he opens up his list.

Let’s see how far his transcendent talent takes the Bucks this year. He’ll be 33 making 62M when his contract expires, which is a lot for someone that can’t shoot. Players that can shoot age more gracefully. I’d like him on the team to complement the core, not replace it.

oh he's leaving...he just sent his wife and kids out of Milwaukee he knows he's gone and wants to win.

Now the question is does MIL come to us with a reasonable offer and re-engage...or does MIL just hold out and hope Giannis gets desperate and opens up his willing teams to more than just the Knicks.

We have a very good team with very good players. We can wait this out, and if we get to the finals, there’ll be no pressure to make a trade. Let Giannis and his agent fight it out with Milwaukee.
