BNS said they could IL Bruhl and go Bassitt if need be.

This is my thinking. A mysterious injury could coincidentally happen.

If the Jays lose interesting to see if this plays out
and Bassitt gets in the roster or they just go with Lauer

Santander should be on the bench with his buddy IKF for tomorrow and Game 5. His fluke hit aside, he gives you nothing offensively and defensively.

He also had a hard hit that Judge robbed.

2 for 7 (both singles).

The runs he drove in he gave back with that defensive blunder.

The guys been hitting the ball hard all series long

You take the good with the bad and have to weigh the cost of his bad defense. We signed him to be a DH, might be time to use him there

Two massive singles in both games given the game context at the time, yeah

With several other hard hit balls in the other ABs

Again, if we had any pitching at all, he’d be one of the heroes of this series right now lol

Dude has a 140 OPS right now. I'm not going to read in to him struggling when he got demoted - he was probably super pissed that he got demoted despite hitting so well.

Is he a 140 OPS major league hitter? Likely not. But he is a good defender, decent hitter, and a good complement to Schneider on the roster.

A lot of "would have, could have, should have". Bottom line is results. For Game 4 and Game 5, you cannot have Santander in the outfield. You can play him at DH, but Springer is DH already. He can be a pinch hitter off the bench, and that is it. He can stay on the bench otherwise.

Gimenez is awful at the plate. Sucks that Bo being injured means we have to play Gimenez regardless and can't pitch hit.

But Anthony Santander's, stature, stance and swing is an exact replica of "Oh" Henry Rodriguez at the plate.
I'll run to the corner sotre and eat a whole box of Oh Henry's tonight if Santander hits a home run here.

3 run game and I have already zoned out and given up on the team.
Went looking to youtube for Henry Rodriguez videos to see if I was right. Then I remembered they had the video of him getting beaned by Danny Darwin, a game I was at 29 years ago. Fairly crazy brawl if you want to watch something between innings.

The stances are pretty similar, they even look a bit alike with the stache. Santander a bit thicker. Similar high HR / high K types, who were not good in Rf.

Former Cy Young winner Shane Bieber got gifted a 6-1 lead and gave up 5 piss missiles and got chased before he could even get to 2 times through the order. If im giving out blame its like 75% Bieber 10% Barger 10% the entire ****in pen and 5% IKF. This is Biebers L and as a former ace he'd probably tell you the same thing.

Good pitch, I was expecting Williams to go with his split as he usually does in a big spot and so was Santander

Can't afford to throw a split there and walk him in that situation, just too much on the line to risk 2 on and no out IMO.

This team completely no showing after the Judge HR might be a telling sign for how tomorrow is going to go

They were facing some good pitching but that was some kind of body blow and they may not recover from it

Yep Bieber and our weak pen blew a 6-1 lead

They’re the main culprit along with some choking from otherwise good defenders

C'mon Nance, keep it at 3 and give our bats a chance.

He’s also having great ABs regardless of results. Santander has been the least of the Jays issues
