These bums ruined my entire week. I stayed up late to watch Targic Bronson blow big shot after big shot. They disgraced the uniform. They robbed us of the pre-season championship that was rightfully ours as ordained by God himself. They tarnished our uniform, they tarnished our arena, and our fans will forever be tainted for witnessing that disaster. This will be a scarlet letter this franchise will wear for decades. A purely abominable display and every one of those players on the court at the end of that game should be court-martialled.

Rob is pretty close to unplayable right now.
I don't think it's his fault he just does not have the talent or skill for where he was drafted and expectations should be adjusted accordingly.
He will be a negative contract by the trade deadline if he isnt there already and will make 6.9 mil next year and 8.7 the following.

Johnny Juzang is an NBA player and I really hope he makes the roster.

Shannon and Clark have not proven themselves as NBA 3 point shooters yet and Ingles wears a skirt and pom poms.
Donte is also injury prone and coming back from the dreaded turf toe injury.
It would be really smart to keep another wing shooter on the roster and I'm guessing that was TCs thought in signing him.
We will see if the new owners are willing to spend the extra 4=5 million to fill the 15th roster spot with a quality player.

I can't stand Bones but he is a better option than Rob right now, but that's not saying much.

Disappointed Rocco only got 3 minutes.
A little intrigued if Freeman could contribute in a pinch.

Naz/Randle/Rudy 3 big lineup got shredded pretty hard.

I hope we see more offensive creativity from Finch once the regular season starts because 48 minutes of that spread perimeter motion offense is gonna get locked down tight by any team with a lick of defensive chops.
Especially when they can use whoevers guarding Rudy as a free safety.

Carlisle is an A+ coach.
He's gonna have Indy back in the 2nd round of the playoffs even without Haliburton and Turner.

We badly need a PG. Dilly should have started in Iowa last year and I really hope he starts there this year. He is just not rotation ready for a team seeking to win a chip. As much as I like what Johnny did tonight, I am not ready to call him rotation ready either. I would love to get him on a two way in place of Freeman. Newton as the emergency guard, JJ as the emergency wing, and Rocco as the development big. I think that would be an excellent use of two way contracts.

I agree that Bones being better than Dilly doesn’t mean much. There is a reason 29 other teams didn’t want Bones, and two teams basically kicked him off.

I doubt than any amount of time in Iowa is going to turn Rob into what we want him to be, but playing would help more than sitting.
He's small to begin with and I think his small hands may keep him from ever being the kind of ballhandler he needs to be to flourish at that size.
Just an observation, but something the scouts and execs clearly missed when they whiffed on that draft pick.

I also think the hockey-assist predicated system we run is absolutely not suited for him and the kind of player he is.
He needs a lot of screens to run off where his quickness can be disruptive.
Asking a small guy like him to attack spacing-created gaps on his owns without any traffic created for him is just asking for a lot of turnovers and missed layups.
His only good shot on those plays is a pull up jumper.

Johnny Juzang is already 24, has close to 2000 NBA minutes already, and made 100+ 3's last year on 38% shooting.
He rarely turns the ball over either.
He's the kind of player every team could use in the 9-12 range of their rotation.
He's the shooter ying to Clark's defensive yang.
It's replacing most of what NAW did with 2 minimum salary players.

Juzang is a nice guy to have at the end of your rotation. I think he makes the team.

Juzang kinda reminds me of Isaiah Joe..

Rob is really disappointing me, I don't want Dane Moore and Kyle to be slobbering all over him again

I'm a little worried about our offense again. It's been our biggest weakness for years, too predictable, too easy to stop when teams put in elite effort.

So much for seeing Ant in the post...must be saving that for regular season...trade Randle, Rob and fill for a PG. Move Mike to the backup. It's not rocket science

Pre-season box scores are whack. Wack?

Team leaders:
3P and Scoring: Johnny Juzang (6, 20)
Rebounds: Alize Johnson (9)
Assists, Steals: Terrence Shannon Jr (5, 3)
Turnovers: Rudy Gobert (5)
Free Throws, +/-: Tristen Newton: (6, +18)

He got to learn to be more smart and know when you have to play fast and when you have to settle down. He will learn but need time and the hard part for him is that he is playing in a team who want to win now so learning process is hard. If he were playing for the Jazz 20 min every night he would have been much better already. The good news is that Hyland seems to be able to contribute ( need to be confirmed) in case Rob struggle. And Juzang as well.

Dilly seems to have lost confidence. Now he's out there thinking rather than reacting. He's afraid of making mistakes which leads to mistakes. He has all the skills he needs to be good, but he needs to regain his confidence. How can he and Finch get him back to where he needs to be?

Give up Randle for PG help and we instantly lose 10 more games. Don't do it.

Or, could win 10 more games. Never know. What is obvious is Mike shouldn't start or play big minutes and we have no other capable pg's on roster

McConnell not Shannon. Clark had a headbutt when going for a steal. He left the game with neck spasms but likely has a concussion.
