Any Giannis tade compensation talk is moot. Once the Bucks trade Giannis, no matter the haul they get in return, they enter Wisconsin Badger Football under Luke Fickell territory....IE - Years and years of future irrelevance. It's sad, but it's also true.

Re-route him literally anywhere else for picks or a blue-chip prospect that actually has star upside. You can't build around under-sized bigs that can't shoot and can't protect the rim in today's league.

Sengun would do fine with Myles as his wingman. Remember you’re also getting Jabari and a bunch of picks, a couple of which are prime. Would I also like Amen Thompson in the deal? Sure. But not sure I see them both obtainable in the deal at this point.

Which young player do you want back from a team that has the assets and positioning to trade for Giannis?

Sengun/Smith/Sheppard for GA/Anthony?

Easy no. What are we doing here?

My deal also added a a bunch of firsts including the Suns and Nets swap that Houston holds.

Sengun is young and elevating into a Pau Gasol caliber player.

I don’t care how many picks are there. Without this Amen Thompson guy it’s not even worth discussing. Smith has negative value on his new contract and Shepherd is a small short armed tweener guard who looks like an 8th grader. Hard no

We should similarly be monitoring what our best trade packages might entail.

Our 2031 first looks that much juicier now and if I understand correctly we could also deal a 2032 pick swap.

AJ Green's extension is a big question too -- if it doesn't happen and Dairy balls out he's that much more valuable.

If it does then one of our other young guards could find themselves in trade offers, especially if enough of them develop to a point where we couldn't keep them all.

Any signs of life from whoever we keep out of Livingston, Smith, and Ajax could come into play as well.

Otherwise Kuzma's contract getting closer to its final declining season also helps even aside from whether his play on the court makes him look more like an effective role player vs tank commander.

I get that you love a lot of these high-IQ/low upside dudes, but re-creating a poor-man's version of Sabonis/Turner doesn't do anything for this franchise in the medium or long-term. And it's simple. If he (Giannis) finally forces your hand, you call up San Antonio and they'll give you everything but Wemby and Fox (Harper, Castle, and a boatload of picks).

Offensively similar. Defensively they're in a different stratosphere.

Can Lauri play SF ? :P

This would be the dream trade, I think the Bucks can compete with anyone if they can turn Kuzma into Lauri

Odds a Kuzma trade actually happens before the season? I'd say around 5%

I despise Sengun as a prospect and think Jabari Smith is very mid. I would hate that package as I think they're a big reason why the Rockets are likely to disappoint this season.

It would take Kuzma, Portis, and Harris/Prince. I think Lauri is an upgrade all around but the Bucks would have to be contending by December 15.

Let’s do the San Antonio trade to make sure the Spurs win a couple championships. Would basically eliminate any hopes the warriors and lakers have of ever being relevant
