Agreed and would add 2 thoughts:
1) In these debates about who is better / who should start between Simons and Pritchard, I think we need to remember that Pritchard has feasted while playing against bench units while playing in the weaker eastern conference. Simons has played vs starters in the tougher west.
Simons will be even better now that he's in the east.
If we try putting Pritchard in the starting lineup, I'm not sure how he's gonna do - having to go against starters.
Plus, playing alongside Tatum (who often ran with the bench units) has benefitted Pritchard..a luxury he won't have this season.
I think pretty clearly, Simons is the better player. So he might start.
I say might, because Pritchard has literally 5 more years of experience playing in Boston than Simons does so Pritchard has more familiarity with the system, the coaches, the teammates, etc. And Pritchard isn't in trade rumors so he is more likely to be a long term piece here. So for those reasons, it wouldn't shock me if Pritchard starts and they have Simons be a super 6th man.
I could see it going either way.
2) Interesting that in this video, both Simons and Pritchard are wearing green practice jerseys. Usually I think they have starters in green, 2nd unit in white and 3rd string in orange. So it seems like they're getting some scrimmage reps in with Pritchard and Simons out there together - with the starters.
Makes sense - 2 of the best players on our team so they will likely play together at times..
