That's another reason why PH'ing for Ortiz was premature, especially since nobody was on base and Perkins isn't the type of hitter you really need to get in the game.

Ortiz would have turned that DP at SS that Mona couldn't, and Perkins would have been available to pinch-run for Chourio (probably his last AB anyway) and replace him on defense.

Murphy probably makes 10 baseball decisions better than I would make before he ever even puts his pants on in the morning, but I was right about Priester needing a home start. He should have been pulled to let a LHP face PCA as well.
