Bam came out and said he thinks our team is good enough to contend for the title.

In my opinion, if the year ends 49-33 with clear improvement from the roster, this will be a successful year. I would like to see a first round playoff win and a competitive second round.

A lot of hot takes after one game. Tune in next time where everyone sucks and should be traded

I like Heat number 25 and Ware was great last night.

Bam needs to get his act together and Jovic wasn't impactful last night. Wiggins well, maybe i need to start to pray for Wiggins. I think either Powell or Ware is the MVP of the preseason games so far.

When we get Herro back this team is going to be really good and deep. I think we are move away from really contending for something and coming out of the East.

Bam
Herro
Powell
Ware
Wiggins
Jovic
JJJ

All are capable of giving you 20+ on any given night, not all need to be firing on all cylinders for this team to win games, but there will be nights that they do and they will run teams off the floor. I am very sold on Powell, he's a real vet very much in control, he was moving around at maybe 70% and still getting to his spots. He reminds me of an of Big 3 era Wade after his bounce and elite athleticism faded and he became father prime.

If Ware could consistently give you what he turned in last night you would have to really consider moving Bam for Giannis. What is the most encouraging thing for me about Ware is his shooting from 3. He looks really comfortable out there. Last year early on teams would leave him and he got hot from 3 for a while, until teams realized they needed to close out on him, and then he was uncomfortable and passive. Now I see a guy in these 3 preseason games who is not phased by closeouts and is trusting his release and height, and following through confidently. Those two moving 3s as he was stepping back to the 3 line was elite stuff from a guy that size, and I saw him do that in summer league as well.

Giannis is so intriguing on this team if you pair him next to a big like Ware and real scorers in Herro and Powell. So many possessions could start with Giannis at the top of the key with guys unable to help off of two of the best perimeter scorers in the league with a big who could draw the rim protector outside.

Trade Bam+Fontecchhio and 2 firsts for Giannis

Run

Herro/Mitchell
Powell/Larson
Wiggins/JJJ
Giannis/Jovic
Ware/Precious

The defensive length, rebounding, and shooting would be too much for anybody in the East, I just don't know if everybody would be too sad to move Bam. If it was me I probably could not do it, but that's a classic Riley move.

I'll wait till the season actually starts and the effort is a bit more serious, but I still see Jovic as a 3 that can play 4. He is definitely not a 5 (which I think we all knew), but I still think he leans more 3. He actually looks a lot quicker and more limber than I remember. He won't be some dominant force at 3 defensively, and he'll get his share of blow bys, but he should be able to hold his own to cover at the 3, especially with his length. I think he has a better chance at that than going up against the power and athleticism and size he'll see at the 4 anyway. Our rebounding is horrific as is.

I also still do not like Wiggins on this team. He needs to be out on the first thing smoking as soon as the Lakers are ready to deal. No hard feelings, I can see him trying hard or whatever, but get him off this team. Let Jovi get his due reps at 3.

see Michael Porter Jr also as another "big" 3

I hope Spo uses his Team USA head coaching position to coerce players into signing with Miami! Well done, Spo!

He probably thought this up after a “practice” session with Beasley.

That kinda makes me want to walk it back. MPJ is lowkey trash, especially now. But I get what you mean lol.
