he can hit the 3, drive to rim, and more importantly pull up from anywhere mid range late in shot clock...our team only has one of these players...he could be huge for us

He's looking good out there, and he isn't forcing his game all that much.

One thing I have learned about him is that he doesn't mind physicality, which is refreshing to see.

He's always been a more fragile mini-KD capable of putting up 50/40/90. Just need to load manage him to make sure he's healthy for the playoffs.

I keep wondering how things might have looked if they were able to make the BI trade while our Championship guys were here.

Vanvleet
Ingram
Anunoby
Siakam
Poeltl

Is that a 50 win team if healthy?

FVV, GTJ, OG, Siakam, Scottie won 48 games before.

We’d be swapping out a one dimensional scorer in GTJ and a rookie for a player that’s a better scorer than Siakam and an actual competent center.

It would be the 2nd best team the Raptors of had in franchise history imo.

That'd be a very good team. I'd argue a team good enough to come out of the current East.

That is essentially the 48-win team, swapping out GTJ for Ingram and Barnes for Poeltl.

Now, that is also an injury prone team between BI and OG, with still absolutely no bench depth, so it would go as far as our health takes us.

Tough to say 2nd I think. 2019-20 was still a hell of a team, and the depth of that bench mob team is likely still to good.

I would rank em:

1) 2018-19
2) 2019-20
3) 2017-18 / Theoretical BI team
What an absolute failure and disaster this franchise is, ran by one of the most incompetent front offices in the league.

With a good coach ala Udoka, one should have expected close to 60-wins with such 2-way talent, with all that length, agility, skills, .....That's the talent to compete for a championship..

Only reason why I might agree is because of Lowry but I think Siakam, OG, FVV were just way better than their 2019 themselves. Add BI to that mix and I just think when it comes down to close games, the theoretical BI team will just out execute them in the halfcourt to make up the difference of not having Lowry.

There’s just no chance in hell that BI team loses to that Celtics team. BI would alleviate so much offensive pressure for Siakam in that series.

Brandon's played OK early, but if he's averaging 20ppg...that's probably not moving the tape as much as people think.

If the over/under is 39, I'd be taking the under. Personally.

He's averaging 20 in like 22 minutes right now... That's pretty nice.

It's less about straight points for this team, and more about the way he scores and when he scores. We needed a creator, a closer and a guy we can say is our go to guy.

You could see it last night, even if it was preseason and the kings. Our team got easier looks once BI started cooking, and the shooting looked alot more sustainable with everyone shifted down a peg or two from last year.

He's come in and seems to be moving the needle further than any single player has for this team since Kawhi. It's still early, but if he stays healthy, it's gonna be the over.

He's looked good for a guy who's missed a year. I'm just not anchored to the idea that it's permanent yet, or that the pieces work together. Or, that Darko's the guy to figure it all out.

IT also took a (hopefully) once-in-a-lifetime virus to stop Siakam as well

That 2019-20 makes the ECF, and IMO the finals, if COVID doesn't occur.

Bruh he is at 31.6 points per 36.

You can have reservations, but like don't purposely mislead things (like you always do)
