The problem is that Utah traded the guy the Bucks really needed when they dumped John Collins. To me Lauri is just the PF version of MPJ. If the Bucks wanted a shooter, he would be the cheaper guy to go after.

I'm waiting to see if we can get Trae Young out of Atlanta. Because as much as I don't like Trae, I think he would bring the ball handling and shooting we need. He's only got one more guaranteed year on his current deal. He might be had for less than you might think.
I think if the Hawks are looking to trade Trae this season, it is probably a bad sign. It looks like they are trying to win and have a decent roster that kind of makes up for his weaknesses.

But as far as the kind of archetype he represents, yes, we are gonna need another high-level offensive creator at some point (dream target is someone like Darius Garland). This whole "nobody but Giannis should handle the ball" stuff is dumb and self-defeating. We're not winning another chip with Giannis doing his best 2017 Westbrook impression. We need more offensive talent across the roster.
Sure, but let's not act like KPJ is garbage. He's a serious talent that is beginning to take his career seriously. Yes, we need another multidimensional player, but not necessarily at the PG position. Turner replacing Brook massively changes us come playoffs, and so would an upgrade from Kuzma.

Please no. We just had that set up with Dame, and it was a disaster.
Our issues were far deeper than simply pointing to Dame.
We need a bucket getter in the playoffs. Trae is a bucket getter.
We won 48 games with jax at the 2 n prince wt the 3.Fu.. rivers started 2 guys he shouldnt of n we still won 48 games.Dame wasnt tbe issue not even close but haters will be haters

Kuzma and Tyler Smith for Huerter and Dalen Terry.
Have I considered if this would work for the Bulls? Have YOU considered **** the Bulls?

He's only got one guaranteed deal left and they haven't bothered to engage in contract talks. I think they're ready to move on, which might make him a good buy-low option with high upside.

Correct. The only reason no one's talking about Trae is because Giannis paranoia is dominating the headlines right now. But the Hawks are very much in "wait and see" mode with their roster as well. They have a new GM and if they start slow out of the gate, it's all but certain they're going to kick the tires to see what kind of offers they can get for him. The lack of any traction on an extension was very telling.

Re: Bucks News, Transactions, Trade Ideas
Yeah, it seems like they want a team of versatile 6-8 guys and Trae is kind of an inconvenience. I fully understand the appeal of what they're doing but I'm also not sold on their group. It'll be interesting to see if they try to trade Trae with picks for an upgrade or just cash him out. Feel like option A would be a far smarter move but not sure who the target would/should be.

Sure, if you ignore the undeniable fact that the defense completely tanked when Dame was in, and no other player had a significant negative impact defensively.

The open practice used to be the first Saturday after camp started. It coincided with single game tix going on sale. It would draw a good crowd. Now it's just 3 days before the opener. I don't know what it draws now. For those, especially families, who are priced out of games it's a good opportunity to see your team and Giannis, even if it's a scrimmage.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I would much rather have KPJ than Trae. I don’t care if KPJ flops. Trae isn’t doing it for us.

Yeah, use whatever assets that were going to be spent on Trae and instead spend them on a wing to play with .KPJ

Yup. AJ Green is not a 3. He simply can’t defend it. Rollins has taken his spot at back up 2. His role on this team is great in theory, but diminished in reality. Need to trade him for a wing. Bring me Eason Horst.
AJ Green is completely ensconced as the starter at the 2. Everything we're trying to do this year is based on the spacing he provides. It's why lineups including him dominate.
In 39 preseason minutes, Green has scored 31 points on 13 shots, all 3s. He's going to have a monster year playing next to Giannis.

He needs to be at 10 attempts per game or more. That's part of the recipe. Gary at least 8 if not 10 as well..

I have such great memories and photos from taking my kids to this in the Bogut era. And the team was on the rocks so no huge crowds. Steinmiller (RIP) did that event right.

Vivid memories going as a kid. Open practice stood out on its own aside from the games.
Remember once the players did a competition who could hit a half court shot.
Ray drilled it, naturally.

FYI, Kuzma and Bobby for Lebron works in the trade machine.

It doesn't work in Fanspo. Lebron makjes $52.6 and Kuz plus Bobby make $35.9. Plus Lebron has a no trade clause she he'd need to sign off on anything before coming here. Also, it was just announced that he's having back problems and will miss the next month. I just don't see it as fun as it would be to add Lebron.
