Cade is an absolute animal. He is gonna average 30, or close to it this season. Off-ball Cade is ridiculous.

Ausar somehow got worse at shooting?

And I agree, I'm good with Cade being done this preseason. No need to take the risk, he's clearly in season form already.

Cade should be done for this game, at least.

Cade was super impressive in that first quarter. I almost felt like he was being a bit selfish out there on a few plays where the end of bench non-rotation players were out there with him but perhaps he knew he was going to have limited minutes tonight.

26/6/6 is great for a game and he got it in 18 minutes.

We've got a long rest before our next game in Cleveland on the 14th and then Washington on the 16th I'm sure we'll be in a bit more of ramp up mode at that point since we only play 4 preseason games now.

I couldn’t watch this one, but… Tolu had 3 turnovers and 6 fouls in 9 minutes? Really?

Cade went crazy this game. 26 points in 18 minutes is ridiculous! It sucks Ivey didn't play. I wanted to see them both go ballistic!

I know it's preseason and all and they didn't play half the guys, but man do we look bad offensively when cade isn't in the game. 72 points in the first half and then were lucky to hit 17 in the 3rd. I know they want to get ivey some on ball looks, but we really should have a vet pg on the roster. It doesn't have to be anyone great, but we need to be able to execute an actual nba set if cade and/or ivey miss games or even just get in foul trouble. Daniss and Sasser aren't going to cut it.

It's the same problem we had last year.

We had exactly one guy (until we got Schroder) who was in any way qualified to lead an offense.

I think it'll look a *bit* better in the RS with Ivey and Lavert available (neither played last night) but yeah, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if we were in the market for a backup playmaker at the deadline just like we were this year.

If Caris doesn’t look good we should be looking far before the TDL. We already know Ivey and Sasser aren’t going to be sufficient.

Significant trades happen well before the deadline, but they're decidedly less common.

I absolutely get the instict to want to go go go when it comes to building this team, but it's evident to me that the front office is still taking a much more patient approach. And I don't disagree. This is still not a contending team, and rushing (and potentially overpaying) to get someone in to fill a rotation spot would be a mistake.

Imo Schroeder was a must retain. The poise and ability to create are so valuable. There will be a lot of pressure on Cade all season, he is so far ahead of everyone else on the roster.

Or at least a replacement. This is a big problem I have with Langdon. We go all season only relying on Cade until he gets Schroder with less than half the season, and we improve on both ends. We lose him, and he does nothing about it. Why is he wasting games? We need to win more, not go backwards.
