Never been a point in my life where I've cared less about the Bucks, Badgers, or Packers. Brewers losing to the Cubs at home in a do-or-die would probably kill my interest in sports for a long time.

Baseball is weird and basically anything can happen in a 5 game stretch. Every team left in the playoffs has won or lost 3 in a row at some point this season. Let's just hope Saturday goes our way
I can't second guess starting Freddy because I would have done the same thing, but those who pointed out his home/road splits might have had a point. I'll also add I would have started a very similar lineup as Murph tonight. The team just got outplayed

Coach Drew: "Milwaukee has always been a team that I have been intrigued by. When we played them, they were a tough team for us to play. Although we did beat them all four times"

If the Brewers drop this series, would it rank up there with the packers in 2014 or Bucks in 2019? Or is it not quite that depressing?

Not having Woody is being felt hard. I don't think anyone felt good about Priester going in that environment, should have probably went with the vet in Quintana. Splits be damned, you play to win, no qualms with rolling out Freddy tonight. **** happens.
No idea who Murph goes with on Saturday. The idea of Miz makes me nauseous, but could be sink or swim time.

I'm pretty much numb to the Brewers getting bounced early. It doesn't bother me as much as it should. And I know it's 2-2
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Team does a good job of not wanting you to trust them. Hopefully being back home will do us good but that crowd isn't going to help imo.

Luckily a lot of other stuff kind of sucks to take the edge off of this.

My niece is turning five and we’re having a party for her. Can’t wait, adorable little girl. There was a chance the game would be in the middle of the afternoon instead of late and past her bedtime. She’s gonna get spoiled so hard.

Aw same! My niece is turning 5 also, and I'm heading up to visit for her party on Saturday. Super excited. Have fun!

No, it’s right there.
Unlike other Brewer teams this one led the league in DIFF by a wide margin. This is a legit power team. To have three shots to advance and blow all three would be a collapse.

Good thing they decided to stand pat at the deadline with the best record in baseball. Gotta make sure you keep enough talent to make the playoffs every year and get bounced right away.

Re: Brewers/Cubs Divisional Series - Game 5: 7:08
Microcosm of the season. We thought we might be great, we had that taken away from us, and we feel like we've lost something that we never really had in the first place - but we still have a chance, and need to maintain perspective. We didn't lose the #1 overall seed, and we haven't lost this series. I still give a slight edge to "Brewers bullpen game at home" vs "Imanaga + Cubs bullpen on the road."
We need the team to just reset and think of it as a chance to win a do-or-die game at home and advance to the NLCS as the #1 overall seed in baseball. We should try to embody that ourselves as well. Imagine if you had been told at the beginning of the season that we would be in this situation.
That said, I did a self-check and realized there was no way I could stay up past midnight again in NYC with the way things are going at work. But I had a feeling this series was meant to end in Milwaukee, and I'm glad I missed game 4. If that makes me hypocritical for promoting positivity now, so be it.

If you're a diehard Brewers fan I feel it's about the same, if not worse because you're facing your rivals and they have your former skipper.

The amount of apathy right now despite the fact that we still have the deciding game at home says it all. This would be worse than the Bucks ECF choke and worse than the 2014 NFCCG, and I'm not even a diehard baseball fan. Those teams both won a title 2-years later and 3-years prior respectively. The collective psyche of an entire generation of Milwaukee baseball fans is on the line Saturday.

Re: Brewers/Cubs Divisional Series - Game 5: 7:08
I'm old enough to generally not care about playoff losses. I saw a few championships for my teams and know the odds are always low of it happening again, especially for the Brewers.
I didn't want the Cubs because I do actually care enough. Once the train started with a deficit early in G3, I've basically tuned out the series because it's just pain to watch. I turned it on my phone for like 30 seconds last night to fans cheering as Happ's homer exited the yard.
Hopefully I'll be back on to chat about a 10 run lead on Saturday or a Dodgers series preview. Otherwise, enjoy watching on Saturday...I'm probably out on this haha.

Yeah the "well we have some good minor leaguers who maybe will become good major leaguers" isn't going to cut it. Having 14, 11 and 8 game win streaks while having the best record in baseball and then getting bounced early again is going to do some damage to the fanbase.
We badly need a win tomorrow night.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

If it wasn't the Cubs I wouldn't feel as bad, I just expect money to win in baseball. But I despise the Cubs more than any other sports franchise and blowing a 2-0 lead to them would be devastating. That said any team who wants to win has to fight through adversity, hopefully we look back at this and this was the game where we stare death in the face and come out on top
