You can see everyone is looking for their spots to score right now. Hearing Brown let them build chemistry playing read react together and not running any type of system makes sense. I was worried they all forgot how to shoot.

Defense looked ok but, it was a sloppy shooting game. I'll take the W.

It's refreshing to see a HC actually use the bench and letting the players find their groove or earn a spot. I want all three vets! Brogdon/Shamet/Matthews. Kolek and Pac can STFU and GTFO. Trying to win a championship right now!!

On an unrelated note, Mitch being the non spacer in the starting lineup might be even worse of an option offensively than Hart. At least Hart is a decent playmaker as the primary screener and will sometimes take a three. We now have Mitch getting the ball back on the perimeter and he can’t pass and he has never attempted a shot even outside the free throw line. Cant see how this team scores effectively all game.

I get what you’re saying but the “tone” is not based on the end result and obviously most preseason games end with the g leaguers. Hell I’ve been here where the Knicks won postseason games and the tone was negative. Sometimes just a win isn’t enough if the win came with a lack of belief in the teams ability to be actually good lol.

Mitch was a game changer on defense yesterday. We have zero rim protection when he’s off the floor. And this 5 out offense isn’t a thing when Mitch is on the bench.

Anything he adds on defense is offfset by his uselessness on offense. He’s the Anti-KAT

yup puke worthy coaching. Plenty of time to call a timeout after they hit a 3 or two in a row. Tell everyone to switch every screen and force them off the 3 pt line and don't over help..if they want to get a layup 10 seconds into the shot clock you let them.

It has to be on the coaching since our best defenders were even confused how to defend the situation.

Agree with all of this. Nobody was in rhythm yet as they're trying to figure out what his version of a read and react offense wants. I loved seeing a few plays with KAT facilitating from the post and even finding Brunson. Those two need space to play off one another.

I do think Pac could help by season's end. Maybe not, but in some ways he looks ready.

3s will come when they get back in rythym and have the chemistry in the new system together. Not worried there much at all.
