Brutal effort by the 3rd string guys. Really disorganized.

But serious question - has Quetta ever set a legal screen in his life? The guy should be whistled every time down the court. He's literally chasing guys around trying to push them out of the way with both arms. Ridiculous stuff.

nahh thats straight up humiliation for the city

DeRozan is on the same level as Bosh when it comes to Raptors "legacy", non-existent

Lowry would have left with out DeMar. We wouldn't even be in that position if it wasn't for him. He helped build our culture of working hard and having all our young guys develop under him. We legit only made it to the playoffs 5 times before him and won only one **** round . We were basically the Kings right now. DeMar made it 5 times the same total of VC and Bosh. Yea LeBronto sucked but at least it was against a guy who is in the GOAT convo with Jordan.

The point was that Demar was given year after year of failure to pound the rock.

Now our fanbase wants to trade a 24yr old all star and rookie of the year... Why because he doesn't shoot mid-range jumpers and dog it on defense?

Yea I agree, I'm still rolling with Scottie unless we get Giannis for him or something. He's still gonna improve but just might not be the ISO scorer that the fanbase wants him to be. Probably a rich mans Draymond and that's honestly amazing if BI can prove to be a healthy number one.

The problem is 80% of these guys can’t shoot.

Our bench will be fine. When we played our real bench we looked good. When the 3rd/4th stringers came in and we did this hockey sub thing that’s when things started to go badly. Also sitting CMB didn’t help, he may be injured. Neither Mogbo or Mamu will ever be the lone bigs alongside a bunch of guards in the regular season. The defence and rebounding is just too bad. There’s a few lineups we’ve used tonight that were bad that we definitely won’t use when it matters.

That, but more importantly can’t create. When no one can create an advantage you end up taking tougher shots and shots that aren’t in the flow, which leads to more misses. But Mamu being like 0-7 doesn’t help lol

As I thought CMB is injured. Even with how good he’s looked, you don’t sit a rookie unless they’re trash lol. They need as much playing time as possible if they’re going to be in the rotation come the regular season

I only typed in Lowry, cause they are essentially twins in this case. And i dont care if it is "only" year 5th. I care about progress, and i dont see little to no growth in Barnes game. I hope this year will be different. Dont get me wrong, i want him to succeed, but the notion that is above beeing critized for things he already should have learned is just wrong.

You keep moving the goalposts.

YOU said 5th season for Demar making the playoffs. I simply pointed out Barnes has only played 4 years. That's all.

I agree with you he needs to be better. My opinion hasn't changed as I have continually said, Barnes:

Can't shoot the 3
Can't blow by his man
Doesn’t have a go to move
Is uncoordinated
Etc...

Yet has managed to be a 19-7.5-5.5 guy as well as won ROTY and an All Star while never playing with shooters. And he was deemed furthest away from his prime on draft day. And has taken over 4th quarters.

So the "hope" has been that some of those things possibly got better over time. But it hasn't, on offense. Defensively he has gotten much better.

The one thing I never understood, as a rookie the Raps had him post up at the top of the key with good results. We should all remember him going right after Durant and shooting over him. But then they started moving him around more to try and expand his game when they should have made him a go to bucket at that spot. And it took to last year to try and re-establish scoring from that spot.

We did give him those attempts last year. He was top 15 in the league in terms of FGA between 10-14ft. The issue was that was the only area where he scored at league average efficiency. Another problem is you can’t have a guys offense be built around hitting 12 footers at 48%. It’s pretty much the least valuable type of “good” scoring there is. Doesn’t space the floor for others. Doesn’t draw fouls. It’s just not something you can scale up. 48% from midrange is almost exactly “average” half court offense as far as PPP is concerned. It produces the same points as 32% 3pt shooter. In other words, not great.

We’re really going to need to stagger the minutes between Barnes/IQ/BI/RJ so that 2 of them are on the floor at all times. I don’t trust any of the bench guys to create good shots for each other.
