Wemby was Herculean tonight. I haven't seen anyone stop him, but Kessler does better than most in terms of slowing him down.

One has to hope that the SA front office doesn't sit on their hands for years, trying to decide what to do. If Harper plays like this for the first 10 games of the season, they need to start moving asap.

Also, what is the starting lineup for the Spurs going to look like? One has to assume they are going to start the #2 pick.

If the Spurs are healthy they are going to surprise a lot of people this season. They cut a lot of dead weight from their roster, added some solid depth/vets, and have an up and coming superstar who is the best two way player in the game already. The collective IQ being raised around him coupled with a coach emphasizing defense is really gonna dramatically improve this team compared to seasons past

We went from Tre Jones, Blake Wesley, and Malaki Branham to Fox, Castle, and Harper. Not the least bit worried about a talented back court upgrade. One guy has an off night? No problem. One guy fits better versus an opponent? Got it covered. A guy needs rest or is on a hot streak? Check and check. It's like the best 'problem' to have after trading Derrick and being thin at the position. They can play together, sub in for one another, young guys can learn from ready now Fox without having all the pressure on them to be rushed into too big a role. Depth at affordable cost is huge and two of those talents are on rookie contracts.
