I'm pretty sure the Cooper Flagg comment and the backtracking were not related to one another.....it was Evanz naming Cooper in the first place and how negative his view of JK is.

YOU LITERALLY SAID NOBODY MAKING KUMINGA'S SALARY IS AS GOOD AS HE IS.

That is what you said. I gave a list of several dozen players making as much or less than Kuminga who are vastly superior to him including Cooper Flagg. It is your Kuminga glazing mentality that is on display here. There are dozens if not hundreds of NBA players better than Kuminga and much better fits for the Warriors actually trying to win. That's just a fact you seem to be unwilling or unable to accept.

LOL, nice try but if you are going to go all-caps-literally you should at least get it right! I said "I don't think there are MANY players AT his salary that will be as good as him."

I listed MANY because it's true. Thanks for proving my point.

JK nearly had a Per-36 triple-double the other night! (12/14.4/9.6)

We have until jan 15. We'll get there for sure.

JK is moving the ball so he's trying to fit in. We're trying to see if he can lead the bench unit as the no 1 scoring option. It hasn't been good but it does seem like both sides are trying to make it work.

JK should stop doing interviews. I think his on-court play has been pretty good so far.

Wow. A balanced take on the JK situation. Kudos. You can see he’s still getting use to the new approach. I can see the big 3 (especially Jimmy) getting into his ear. He could really help us.

Great first game and opening interviews, then bad second game and disengaged from team activities and combatant interviews, like in a Katy Perry song.

Cool, but this is from Jimmy's playbook of not wanting to stay with his current team and I've had to endure some of these times. It's rough to enjoy basketball when you know a player you enjoy watching is behaving this way even for legitimate reasons. I do understand why Butler did what he did and I see why Kuminga is doing it also but doesn't make it any better as a fan of that player or of the team.

I keyed in on Kuminga's agent words when talking before the contract was signed saying his client will have to accept the role... that wasn't Kuminga accepting that situation, that was agent talk and it looks like he's not really accepting it, he may try here or there but he's going to get very frustrated. Money is great, but once you get the contract you also want to be happy on the court which he is not.

There is no mystery here....Jk wanted to leave and the Warriors don't want JK but wanted more than they were being offered for him.

That SFGate article is hilarious. It read just like an extension of all the JK hate on this board.

The open practice is so cringe...it's like a corporate america team building event with fans.

Do you think this changes anything? Like missing Jimmy's little camp?

January 15 can't come soon enough.

No, it just further proves that money wasn't fixing the situation. He wants a high-level role handed to him instead of working for it. Had he been playing the role given to him as well as he can he wouldn't have had more opportunities in GS at this point, but he didn't want to work for it. That's fine if he's good with his career, but something tells me he will regrete how he handled his first 5 years in the league.

I will say this, I think things like this will torpedo his opportunities, he'll be another year older, it'll be another year of possible non compliance with a coach and he doesn't have the proven history Butler had in these situations. It's quite possible he's going to be traded as an expiring contract by the deadline or quite possibly by GS at the end of the year which is why it was so important to get that no trade option taken out and having a team option next year.

It's quite sad to see this happen just because he wasn't handed the role he wanted without the track record of being a high level player in that role.

JK also supposedly had a slight ankle tweak and would be taking things easy. I also read conflicting reports on Reddit where people at the practice said they saw him joking around with teammates, having fun, and signing Curry jerseys fans wanted autographs on.

So I'm not buying this JK ultra-sulk story at the moment. I think he knows he's likely to be dealt, and there is a timeline there so there is no reason to go scorched earth right now. If he isn't traded at the deadline, I think we could see some waves then (unless he's really somehow working here). All reports I've seen are that the players understand JK's contract situation (I mean of course Jimmy would right?) and JK understands he has limited time here and is just going to try and make the best of it.

You know that Kerr has talked to Kuminga about his role many, many times.

Maybe what he means is he doesn't have a regular, predictable spot in the rotation. But if he listened and played the role that Kerr keeps telling him to play he'll have a better change at a predictable spot in the rotation.
