2) A discussion with only one team, the Knicks, has occurred. We don't know who set it up, but I'd be shocked if Giannis's agent wasn't deeply involved. And the NYC area has the largest Greek presence outside of Greece, an area where there are Greek language schools. Do any of you really think that's a coincidence?

Sure, things can change. His family could move back to Milwaukee. But right now, the clock is ticking and having a great year here (finals or better) is not going to change the two points above.

Yup it's already over in my head, he is 100% gone. People need to get on board with that and start discussing the best path forward.

Lol, you think he's going to demand a trade to Greece? If New York was so Greek, they would have just moved there now.

I believe the story said she’d come back to Milwaukee for Christmas. The only small salve we have is Giannis mother is coming back to live in Milwaukee during the season.

Yeah I don’t think they are doing that every weekend but I wonder if the kids will have long breaks to come back home for 2-3 weeks at a time. That would make more sense

Yeah, I guarantee we see the family multiple times before Christmas.

A native Greek wants to live in Greece. Shocking. I think most people would pick Greece over Milwaukee.

You we get fly on a quality private jet? It's like being in your living room.

If Mariah moved the kids permanently to Athens, why hasn’t Shams or anyone else picked up on it yet?

I haven’t heard anything refuting this happened to be clear. And there are those Greek articles, and local scuttlebutt about how they are in Greece at the moment.

However it also doesn’t seem impossible there’s assumptions being made and things being lost in translation.

Whatever’s really going on, if/when it’s 100% they’re out of Milwaukee, that seems like another wall to wall ESPN report.

Does anyone think Giannis was going to live in Milwaukee post career? Has any Buck since McGlocklin? Two kids starting school and he wants stability for them. He didn't put his kids in school in NY. Too much armchair psychology going on here.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I lived in an ultra rich community for a few years (millionaires, multi millionaires, billionaires). About 5% put their kids in public school. About 45% put them in private school. When you are ultra rich, over half hire their own teacher. I knew families that had a private: driver, chef, teacher, and nanny. It wouldn’t be inconceivable that someone in GA’s position would have their kids spend a month in Greece, then a month in the states, etc. All the while with a tutor traveling alongside.

This is a good link. Summary of all 30 teams incoming and outgoing draft picks.

https://basketball.realgm.com/nba/draft/future_drafts/detailed

Draft picks makes sense to me as well but saving face for the Bucks management will be getting some of the vets on the Knicks. By doing so their own, traded draft picks won't be top picks, they will convince fans they're still going for it, and will thank Giannis for his past dedication while allowing him to go to his preferred destination. I'm guessing they squeeze one late first from the Knicks while obtaining a combo or all of Towns, OG, & Robinson.

Edited: if a trade were to happen with the Knicks, a third team would make a lot of sense.

The Knicks are trading guys they can't win a championship with and we're supposed to convince fans we are "going for it" with those same players? And without Giannis. That dog don't hunt. We need younger players with upside plus picks. Not 10 year vets.

I took that mean his team has a middle-man that's leaking to Shams.

Shams has been relentless on this all summer. And it turns out his info was correct

which of course is all gross as hell. it wasnt our front office leaking to shams. it was giannis peoples on the back end while he on front end was spouting total bs to just about anybody bucks first. just beyond gross.

now hes here talking about how hes here for a few more months...wtf ever..... he did it backwards.....keep it quiet on the back channels and speak openly with our people. doesnt that sound better for everybody? or is it just time for us to tell him he can eat a dick like every other "star" thats under contract and wants out

thank god for posts like this to save my sanity on this board.

2 + 2 = 4

a few of us can do basic math here. i need that salve for the hell that comes next. i hope to god our front office either...

A. knows something we dont and isnt a bunch of homers
or
B. opens this **** up league wide and goes publically to bat for the group of guys weve got and the lockerrom culture we have

the last thing we need moving forward is giannis version of team building with wtf hes got to say behind the mic and whatever he or his people are feeding shams

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
