If Bo can only DH, I also think IKF could be on the roster.

Bo can pinch hit. DH would be too much strain on the roster - he'd have to be removed as soon as he got on base - and mess with the Springer situation.

Straw (for example) can pinch run for Bo later in games. Defense can move around to accommodate the insertion of Straw. I don't need or want IKF on this roster.

Is that worth it? You bet. For an important Bo plate appearance AND to get rid of IKF.

If Bo can hit, he needs to be put on the roster in whatever capacity that is, agreed.

Dont see it.

There will be some but it won’t be like the regular season games where Jays fans buy up the tickets way in advance

Yeah, that’s not going to be the case in this series, for several reasons.

Nothing comes really easy in the playoffs, but the Jays should beat this team with the way they have been playing. It took a collective 0 for 23 from the 2 to 5 Hitters of Detroit choking like dogs yesterday, for the Mariners to advance.

I feared the Yankees more lineup wise, and their Starting Pitching and Bullpen wise also. Frankly, the Yankees would have beaten both Detroit and Seattle to reach the ALCS if their was reseeding like their should be after the Wild Card series.

It’s crucial that we hit Bryce Miller hard and take advantage of the 15 inning game yesterday. Their pitching staff is depleted, there is not going to be a better opportunity to win a game in the playoffs than the upcoming game 1.

Scherzer can be the long man in the BP, Bassitt the 4th starter. I’m guessing Berrios is not healthy. We already have Giminez, Clement, Schneider, for 2B/SS, and Clement/Barger for 3B. We don’t need IKF. That means Schneider needs to be on the bench though, so that if we pinch hit with Bo, Schneider comes in to play defense.

Take a good hard look at Scherzer's last 6 outings during the last month of the regular season. Guy's numbers are absolute trash, and he should nowhere near the mound. If you want to be down 2 or 3 rounds after his first inning of work, by all means. However, keep him far away from the mound as possible, and let him continue cheerleading from the dug out. You are not going to snap your fingers and get the Scherzer who was one of the best pitchers in MLB when he was in Washington. Guy is done.

Yeah I don't care how bad he's been, I'm still taking him over Bruihl.

One of them can at least eat up innings in blowouts.

Bassitt should be in for Bruihl. Call me crazy, I know Nance sucked last weekend but the guy was very good in August (allowing only 1 earned run over 15 innings of relief work with an era of 0.59) and had only two bad outings in September. I would still take him over Max "Meatball" Scherzer right now. Bo should be in for IKF. If Scherzer's role is going to be Chad Green 2.0 in blowouts only, then I suppose Scherzer being named will not be a problem.

Schneider mentioned Scherzer as an option today.

Disaster waiting to happen it I’ve ever heard it.

I was just listening to some podcast, and they mentioned they had Wilner on their show and he thinks we're going to leave Santander off the roster in favour of IKF (so we can accommodate Bo). The hosts thought it was the dumbest thing they'd ever heard. It's so dumb that I can see our FO doing it.

Would be insanely dumb considering the quality of ABs Santander has had and how many RH SPs Seattle has but never put anything past these guys.

Even if he doesn’t start games and Lukes does instead, what a great PH option he is.

If we don't win the WS, it'll be thanks to the FO's love affair with IKF and Hoffman.

Game 1 becomes a must win with their third or fourth best option starting.

Also with games 3,4,5 in Seattle, becomes so important to take not just game 1 but game 2 as well

I honestly don’t hate ikf and don’t think he moves the needle in either direction enough to hate him, but Hoffman situation is just annoying. Again does anyone here r trust him to hold a 1 run lead against the best hitters in the world?

I think Barger is gonna have a big series, the swings were looking pretty good in game 4 and the Mariners have 1 lefty on their roster.

I assume were gonna roll with the game 4 lineup against the Yankees every game. With Myles in for defence after Satanders last at bat.

Why did he have to run so hard to possibly aggravate it more..all that's needed from him is hits and jogging to first, not flying to second, especially with runners on base, already..him safe at first is enough..his rbi potential is needed..if no one on base, then a pinch runner can replace him if he gets on..that video shows an all out aggressive run, when his hot bat is needed more that his aggressive running
