Seattle was a surprisingly bad 10-20 vs AL East this season. Kind of puts their stats in perspective.

Was that mostly before of after the trade deadline?

Bichette is playing for potentially hundreds of millions of dollars in his free agency, he’s not gonna “Kirk Gibson” it around the field and destroy his knee completely lol

Then why did he run at full speed..who said to run around the field. You just like to argue and make senseless comments, with zero understanding of other people's comments..you twist comments ..its obvious to everyone else that he wants to play, except to you and your hundred million dollar reasoning

Who said to run around the field? Baseball players have to be able to run and make turns to play baseball. If he and the Jays don’t test that out now, he could destroy his entire career by doing it in an actual game and cost himself hundreds of millions of dollars in future earnings

And I think it’s quite obvious that he badly wants to play, that’s why he’s out there running the bases with a torn knee when in any other situation he’d be out another month with no activity

He’s just very badly injured, it’s unfortunate but it’s the reality

After the trade deadline before they made their push for the division Seattle was struggling and it wasn't looking good. I'm curious to know if it was a slew of bad teams that gave them a chance to finish strong like the Yankees. They have a very good team on paper, you would think they would be more dominant than they are but something is off.

Randle is very right on this one. Faulting Bo here would be a major mistake. I just wish that play in New York where he was injured played out differently.

Hah, I watched that Kirk Gibson at bat in real time on TV in a bar. Late 80s was it? No idea it would become so iconic. It was even referenced by Schneider a week or so ago, by way of saying he was NOT going to send Bo limping out there like Kirk Gibson.

After KD tore his knee up in Game 5 against the Raptors re-aggravating an injury he should have rested for months, and Hali came back prematurely in last years Finals and now is out for the season, I'm amazed that trainers, coaches, managers and agents would ever let their players play hurt in an intense, competitive playoff atmosphere. Kawhi in 2019 got away with it, earning another ring to boot, and Raptors fans should always be grateful for that. But for every Kawhi success story, there are at least two or three failures.

As I posted weeks ago, Buck has already given us the straight goods. It was a stretch to think Bo could be ready for the ALCS, and he would need surgery in the off season. And ... it's not like he would fit seamlessly into the current lineup. We already have two DHs. Easy decision to leave him off.

Scherzer should strictly be used as your new Chad Green. He should only pitch in Blow Outs, when the game is pretty much decided. It would be an unfortunate mistake to count on Scherzer to get any meaningful outs with how garbage he has been in his last 6 Starts.

I think Schneider is smart enough to realize that, since he seen the last 6 Scherzer Starts like we all have. I am confident Schneider will handle the pitchers properly, since he did a fantastic job in the last bullpen game. Even in Game 3, without the heroics of Judge, I thought he made the right moves (taking out Bieber, etc.).

Scherzer being on the roster and the possibility this FO could actually start him in game 4 terrifies me.

No issue with Bassitt being on. Just have to hope game 4 is the bullpen game with Bassitt pitching bulk innings.

Yea that Bichette video from yesterday was damning. There's no way he's even close to playing if he's moving like that and feeling the after-effects still. And it is absolutely not worth it to waste a spot on him for a single at-bat where you'll have to make double switches any time you use him. Position flexibility is one of our biggest strengths and we shouldn't be quick to give that up.

Judging by the video I don't even think Bo is ready for the world series if we make it that far. He's probably played his last game as a Blue Jay.

Bichette to the Yankees next year on a 10-year $300M contract. He'll fit right in defensively. Unfortunately, he will also improve their hitting, which is scary.

Dude will be rusty. He won't make it 2 innings against our lineup in his start.
