Does John Schneider pull Trey early, if he's in a similar situation as Gausman?

Jays beat themselves. Hopefully, we will bounce back this afternoon. With Lukes most likely gone for this series, our chances to win keep getting smaller.

Personally I dont think Seattle pitched 1/28 levels of good yday. 4ks/3BB is a pretty great ratio and we had a higher xBA despite looking pretty mid on offense all game. I dont think we maintain a .040 BABIP all series and if we keep putting the ball in play the bounces will come. Tonight super important obviously though but ill keep faith. Im usually one to be ready to bury the team lmao but i do think we got a bit unlucky yday.

Gonna be chilly with the dome open lmao also Yankee fans crying about us having a bad BABIP game acting like we only try against them is hilarious. You guys are in cancun focus on overpaying Cody and Grisham and wasting another year of Judges prime.

It's weird that we have home field advantage, but the MLB has to give clearance to open the Dome.

If we don't advance to WS, then the high point of our season is

Here we go. Game 2 against the scariest team in the AL. Can we ever beat this poverty franchise in the playoffs? I doubt it. But let's see what happens

Nah, John Schneider winning manager of the year after pulling Gausman with 71 pitches on 8 days rest because he really thinks Brendan Little is good.

Wanted Detroit so badly, with skubal not available til game 3..Seattle is sneaky good in every area. Now it's worse, losing first game and their top of the rotation is coming soon to a theatre near you, as we will move to the bottom of ours. Wish gausman would have kept pitching like Seattle let theirs after home run and men on 1st and 2nd. They did not pull their pitcher..another berrios moment, 2.0

I think it was more due to Gausman completely losing his command at a horrible time in exactly the same inning he did last time

They didn’t pull their pitcher because Miller was actually throwing good pitches all the way through the 6th inning instead of leaving hanging splitters down the middle to a 60 HR hitter on a 2-2 count

Terrible pitch to Raleigh. It happens. But Gausman had already been through the meatiest part of the order. Perfect time to let your Game 1 starter fix his small mess.
Gausman missed by 6 inches. Little was missing by 10 feet in the dirt. Kirk was playing goalie. Personally, I thought that was predictable. Regardless, why take that chance. Our bullpen is not trustworthy and Kevin is decent.

A terrible pitch that simply can’t happen in a one run game in the playoffs in that game context (2-2 with 2 outs and nobody on to a 60 HR hitter), that pitch has to be in the dirt.

No other way to look at it other than a chokejob and he followed it up with a walk on 5 pitches further exemplifying his lost command.

I may have left him in for Polanco (although certainly not Naylor) but no way I’m blaming a manager for pulling a starter after that display.

The only mistake you could even argue there was not having Little walk Polanco as soon as Julio got to 2B but he should be able to do that perfectly fine himself with some curve balls in the dirt (that may garner a chase).
