That was an awful non call on Arozarena, but the 1st strike in that at bat was inside which Eddings called a strike. Everything else the ump called was correct that inning. In other words, yes that call changed the momentum of that inning, but Yesavage still had a chance to get out of it but proceeded to walk 2 hitters and give up a HR.

I hate bad umpiring as much as anyone, but you have to be able to work around it. That blown strike 3 call made it 2-2. Yesavage had more than enough time to get out of that without damage. He couldn't.

It's so frustrating because that missed call changed the entire complexion of the inning. If it's just Raleigh on 1st with 1 out, the gameplan is probably wildly different against Rodriguez and the odds of him leaving a pitch where he did is certainly lower. All-in-all, while he gave up 3 runs and looked a bit wild at times, that could have been even worse. He got his composure back and looked like ALDS Yesavage to the next 4 batters.

Also, lmao. Toronto sports to a tee. Rodriguez ball stays just fair for a 3-run HR...Springer ball hooks just foul. At least he still got an extra base hit. :lol:
