The topic as others have stated is wrong.

This is essentially asking who’s the 2nd best front court in the NBA, in which case it’s Giannis/Turner

I voted Allen/Mobley so Godymas has to accept I'm smart! Yay me!

I don't think you need to be terminally online to say Jokic/Gordon. Just watch the playoffs last year. Jokic is the league's best player, while Gordon is a big time 2-way guy and legit sub-all-star type who brings a little bit of everything to the table while catching Jokic's lobs. AG just put up 16-7-3, shot 48/37/86, played strong defense, and had multiple spectacular winners. Loving Gordon is wayyyy more about watching playoff games, rather than being online during them.

I've never been a Myles Turner guy. Like everyone else, I love the idea of a rim protecting, 3-point shooting center. Myles is absolutely that, but he has ugly holes in his game that everyone glazes over. He's a garbage rebounder. His high center of gravity means he's always getting pushed around in the paint. He's a very poor passer. When his 3-point shot isn't going down, he doesn't do much on offense. He's not much of a threat around the hoop unless he's wide open for lobs. I just find him awkward. He'll fit in nice next to Giannis though, and Giannis alone puts this duo in the conversation.

Over in Houston, Sengun still has a lot to prove as a scorer and defender. I'm hoping he gets used more as a hub this year without those dumb Jalen Green touches, but I'm not giving him his flowers before he's earned them. He fell off badly as a shooter and finisher last year. His defense is solid but he's not a good rim protector. KD is KD, but this an increasingly old version of KD who does less and less every year, despite still being an auto-bucket on his midrange pull ups.

The only reason why Gordon/Jokic gets thrown in the list is because it’s a 80% Jokic 20% Gordon relationship and Jokic is obviously that good. In terms of skills, Turner is obviously better than Gordon and Giannis vs. Jokic gets debated every day.

Look Aaron Gordon is awesome, but he’s awesome because he knows his role. He has chemistry with Jokic that leads to nice looks, he knows how to go to work if necessary, he’s a solid defender. In terms of PF in the league, I don’t even know if it’s possible to put him in the top 10. He might even be closer to the middle. The PF position is kind of stacked. LeBron, KD is considered a PF, AD plays the PF. Then there’s a legit contending second option tier with guys like Siakam, Randle, Jimmy Butler OR Draymond. I think Gordon actually gets a little overrated. It’s not like Draymond and Curry where Draymond is the best defender in the league so he stands on his own.

I say chronically online because these people are not paying attention to the real world NBA, so they overrated what Gordon is.

No, I think Gordon is better than Myles Turner. Maybe Myles Turner at his very best, when he's banging threes and protecting the rim, and not getting taken advantage of by the opponent... is capable of being more impactful than Gordon. Looking at the playoffs and regular season over the past 5 seasons though, Gordon has clearly out performed Turner to me.

Turner disapeared in the last conference finals and finals for the Thunder. A starting center who averaged 3.2 and 4.4 rebounds per game in those series. He had twice as many fouls as he had blocks. He shot 37% from the field and 21% from 3 in the finals. Way too many turnovers and very few assists. When Turner is bad, he's pretty bad.

Gordon's shot isn't always there, but he's always a rock solid versatile player for Denver. Guards the best player, switches across 5 positions, finishes Jokic lobs, playmakes off the dribble and even creates for himself when Denver's offense bogs down.

I think people love Myles Turner on paper, but I don't see it show up often enough in the tape.

Even if I Jokic and Giannis were equals, I'd pick Denver for Gordon>Turner.

Lots of teams plays guards at 3 and now days sometimes even the 4 but it doesn't really change a back court has always been a duo so by default a front court is a trio.

This is an old school classic diagram of where the positions naturally setup. There two front court players. There's a reason today we have points, wings, and centers. And really the games always been played like that. We just sometimes had two centers and sometimes have two points. But the 3 has almost always been a wing and thus back court. Unless you really feel standing 2 feet inside as this shows makes them "front court" and then I guess...

Brother, all 5 guys in this photo are in the front court of the physical basketball court...

Anything beyond half court, for the offense, is the front court. Hence, if ya go back behind the mid court line, it is a back court violation.

Teams generally would have the SF, PF, and C in the front court while the SG inbounded the ball to the PG, in the back court.

lol fair enough I guess...though 3's bring the ball up ALL the time. And guys like Jokic in bound them...

Sengun actually is better than I thought and has a higher defensive IQ than I thought after watching tape on him.

I agree AG is very underrated. Miles can’t do this .

Even though you only listed starters, I though this question was poised as the entire front court including backups and thus why I went with the Rockets. With KD, Jabari and Eason all going to be logging time at PF and Sengun, Adams and Capela at C, that is going to be a load to deal with.

Otherwise, if we are just picking starters i'd go with
1) Jokic/Gordon
2) Giannis/Turner
3) IHart/Chet

If AD gets his jumper back, I could easily see Dallas' tandem rising
