Im with this. Better a healthy intact lineup rather than a better record going in to the playoffs

Agreed.

And, whereas it might not be likely, it is plausible.

Well guys I just had a dream we were in Eastern Conference finals vs Cavs and 1 away from reaching finals.

It was Dallas vs OKC in West. Take what you want from that.

I think i like Penda in a Draymond Green role off the bench over Goga.

Goga last year before that concussion/ getting sick/ whatever happened was really really good. Rookies do usually stink, there are exceptions of course, but our depth vets like Goga and Tyus (as it pertains to Jase) should be given a long leash to keep their jobs IMO, because they have been very solid in the past. I'm really not worried about Penda and Jase getting a ton of time this year, there will probably be injuries that force them into real minutes and maybe they are so good that you have to play them-- But if you look at the cap sheet going forward they are going to be relied on a TON the next couple of years. Their time will come soon enough, for now I'm hoping Goga (and Tyus) are really good because those are some high quality bench players in theory.

But we'll see, you never know who steps up or who suddenly declines to the point of not being an NBA player. Down for Mose to experiment quite a bit with this roster that appears pretty deep on paper. At minimum between resting Suggs and Isaac there should be a chance for the rooks to show something.

Sixth fan show pissing me off with their stupid AB takes. They need that video assistant back on their team, he knew ball.

What the story should be:

AB Showing Real Growth This Preseason

Through three preseason games, AB is averaging 8.7 points, 4.0 assists, and 2.3 boards in 20.5 minutes, hitting 44% from deep and looking much more in control offensively.

His .55 free-throw rate shows he’s attacking the rim with intent, and his 28.6% assist rate with a 2.0 AST/TO ratio backs up the eye test that he’s running the floor with confidence.

Scaled to about 28 minutes, that’s roughly 12 points and 5.5 assists — steady, two-way production from a player who’s starting to look comfortable steering the offense.

AB was horrible the first game and looked worse than the rooks. He has been inconsistent but showed flashes. Nothing impressive from him so far.

They don’t know ball because they didn’t heap praise on AB is wild. He’s been kinda mid.

Every year we try to be a fast paced team and we become a high turn over team then resort back to walking the ball up

I am trying to see how Magic is going to navigate the salary cap in the upcoming season and next. Paolo's extension is going to kick in. AB and Jett's rookie extensions are coming up also. But as of right now it seems, we can not afford them. Just like how Boston was breaking up the team this past offseason, if our roster gets to expensive, someone has to be let go, for the simply 2nd apron thing. I hate to see that happens. And also we won't be able to have draft capital also because of Desmond Bane trade. Unless we win, otherwise, it is not a pretty situation.

Click, click and click. Our Win now window has just opened.

Enter Tyus Jones...he and Bane have been playing faster and efficient for years. Jase looks it as well. Tyus is a pro's pro - very consistent and efficiency is his trademark. I think he will (grudgingly for many of us who think he's just a warm up act for Jase or AB) get more and more PT as the efficiency and pace when he's not on the court doesn't suffice. We all want to see him as a one year contributor/mentor but there's nothing to point to that indicates his role will be matched by others on the roster.

Really we need on-ball improvements from Suggs and AB...perhaps that's why the Shamgod is here. His specialty seems to be decision-making and ballhandling.

Before Suggs 3rd season, they were saying Suggs wouldn't play PG and that Fultz and Harris would start. I told them they were wrong. Suggs ended up starting at PG his whole 3rd season.

Franz shot 38/20/100, and Paolo has shot 32/0/89 in the preseason, but I'm sure they said nothing about them.

most baffling aspect of this simulator is notion that Warriors are 63-19 team with two best players being near 40

The inability to correctly evaluate AB is correlated with either:
a) prior Fultz worship
b) prior Fultz hatewatching

He's either not Fultz (no aura) so not good enough or another Fultz (can't shoot) and not good enough.

Meanwhile he's slowly working on his game, improving his handle and shot. When it is beyond obvious that he's a point guard (scouting reports, nominal labels, and play-by-play data not being good enough for most) everyone will be shocked at how we got here.

The three things you listed are less important than, you know, what actually happens on the basketball court.

Haters gonna hate. When Anthony Black rises out of the pumkin patch this October as a true PG they'll feel their sorrow.

It's obvious he has continued to improve his handle and outside shot. It improved during the course of last season and it'll improve during the course of this season. I think by the playoffs this season, AB will be close to the beginning of his prime.

I noticed a few posters here that only post when Black does something negative. It's like their first impression of him was negative, so they're always searching for something to justify that.

ESPN also just simulated a season and your Orlando Magic came out NBA champions. It’s officially on folks. Time to go win some basketball games and plan a parade.

Not a surprising outcome given we have one of the greatest young cores of all-time.
