Bona reminds me of a modern day Dalembert. Games aren't that much a like but he just does

Let's hope he's at least smarter than Dalembert.

There's "some chance" Sydney Sweeney comes waltzing into my bedroom tonight, but I'm not counting on it.

Really encouraging to see Embiid playing and having fun. I was just looking at the Ringer 100 and that list is bizarre. Maxey at 33 (respectable) but Embiid is off the list while PG13 is at 71.

Embiid off the list sounds like they're just predicting an injury, which is fair. His reasonable ceiling and floor is pretty absurd. It's not out of the question to see him being a top 5 player and playing 70 games. It's much more likely that he plays 55 games and is top 15. It's also not out of the question to see him play 12 or fewer games and looking terrible doing it... which is far outside the top 100.

I would’ve just flipped PG and Embiid. It’s a much safer bet to me that Embiid can play enough games to be considered top 75 this year.

PG didn’t look like a top 100 player when he was on the court last year and he’s an injury risk.

I could be wrong, but I think this might be the most flexible roster we’ve had in the Embiid era, maybe even one of the most adaptable teams in the league right now. We can throw out so many unique lineups that actually make sense on paper.. 3-guard units (Maxey–Grimes–Edgecombe), 3-wing looks (PG–Oubre–Barlow), double-big setups (Embiid–Bona), or even a 3-big experiment if Barlow can slide to the 3 (Barlow–Embiid–Bona), that and many others.

For years, our biggest limitation has been lineup inflexibility, especially the inability to play two bigs, so this shift feels like a real step forward for play-off basketball. Another encouraging sign is that we might finally be able to survive stretches without Embiid once Grimes, George, and McCain are all active. Those three could provide enough offensive punch to let us “Indiana Pacers” our way to wins, just outscoring teams with pace, shooting, and movement.

Bob Myers just got hired by HBSE to be president of their sports group. I wonder if that has any ramifications for the Sixers since basketball is obviously his area of expertise.

IDK why it always felt like he was destined to be involved with this franchise. Happy to have him on our side, and I'm curious to see how involved he'll be in personnel decisions moving forward.
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:

Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Edgecombe/Grimes/Gordon
George/Oubre/Edwards
Bona/Watford/Barlow
Embiid/Drummond/Broome

His role would be to take over for Daryl Morey because that's his experience and skillset.

However, it seems he's fat and happy in Cali, so I doubt that's on the table. This is just an easy grift to get paid by a mark like Joshy for not doing much.

still feel like we lack actual wing talent (which tbf so does a lot of teams) and I think a lot of our "shooters" are capable of making 3s but not all of them are good at it consistantly.

We did get more athletic and we will see if the edict of not every possession needing to go thru Maxey and Biid at all times stands too ( I doubt it especially with Biid)

Wouldn’t be that impressed with Bob Myers. His non obvious moves with GS were not good and his drafting was horrendous.
always a jump shot away.

The vibes are too good. Adem Bona is going to get mauled by a bear or something.
