Heat 28th in the league in 3 pt percentage during the preseason, now you are hearing the media complaining about NOT having a 3 pt specialist

I was complaining last year when on many nights Tyler was making half or more of the team's 3s. It was one of the reasons the offense collapsed when he was off the court. I guess they were hoping for Fontechio but his numbers aren't sharpshooter. Norm looks like even more of a rhythm player than Tyler does...the scorer vs shooter dynamic.

Why the fuxk is Dru starting over Davion by the way? Because Davion just returned?

Spo being the smartest man in the room again. INstead of changing his rotation til Tyler comes back, he'll have placeholder Smith contributing 5 and 2 for 20 minutes a night

I remember he did that during the big 3 era, if a starter was out he pulled up a 3rd stringer into the starting lineup because he didn’t want to mess with the bench unit. That works when you have Wade, LeBron, and a bunch of proven veteran depth but not with this janky roster.

Heat bros it's going to be ok, this team is going to be real up and down all year, get rolling late and likely eliminated in the 2nd round. Just understand better days are coming, this is the last of the mid years for a minute we have finally gotten ourselves out of cap/roster mess, and own most of our picks. It's going to get better

What is the news on Bam's injury? I imagine they are going to just hold him out for the rest of the preseason but he'll be ready to go game 1. I read that Tyler is expected back mid November which will be great if possible. The offense on this team does not look promising. I know the starters aren't playing full speed, but the spacing is horrendous.

Miami will be fine. They've played scrubs a ton of minutes in the preseason.

Robinson was essentially replaced by Powell who has a similar career 3pt% as Robinson and is obscenely better than Robinson. Robinson (3-12 from 3 in the preseason) will not be missed.

I honestly don’t understand why anyone gets worked up over preseason results, it’s like judging a movie by the blooper reel
None of it counts and none of it translates once the real games start

Our team, our so called culture/identity is based on hustle and effort. That is who we are, most nights the other team will have more talent than us. The fact that in the preseason where other teams are not even trying and our hustle and grit are not cutting it should be a wake up call to what the season will be like. Its going to be a long season.

Captain Bam said the offense has a new look this year and it is fast-paced. We didn’t see it during preseason, so he’s probably waiting for season opener next week to unveil it. Prepare yourself accordingly.
For a long time it gave me nightmares, witnessing an injustice like that. It’s a constant reminder of just how unfair this world can be.I can still hear them taunting him, Silly Rabbit tricks are for kids.I mean why couldn’t they just give him some cereal?

Lol That fast pace is going to be absolutely necessary. I don't think we're going to find it easy to find good shots in half court offense, so getting things quickly before the D is set is going to be huge.

Or, more likely, nobody is hustling/gritting for games that don't count and so there's very little to glean from them. The only value I see in preseason is scoping out young unknown player skillsets, and even then its only for the skills, it doesn't always translate to the real games.

Note this is not me saying the team's going to be great this year, I think we'll suck or at best be mediocre, just that I don't really care about preseason.

Personally (and most likely most of the Heat fans) I didn't like what I saw in this preseason from the team.

The team, indeed tries to play faster but I don't think this is the correct decision.
It is more like they rush things than playing fast.
When whoever takes the ball first executes, this is not a modern type of play.
This is a disaster.
Especially with this roster.

I don't like the fact that Powel will take the shot whatever the circumstances are. He has to start thinking to pass the ball sometimes.
I don't like Jaquez as a pg, he is not a pg and destroys the offense.
I don't like Adebayo rushing things in offense.
I don't like Wiggins having another one bad preseason (5th time in his career he averages under 10ppg in preseason).

I like what I saw from Ware and Jakucionis.
Jakucionis seems the only one who can make this group look like a team.

Please stop this experiment with fast pace and give the ball to the best players to organize the offense and take the shots.

I know the regular season will be complete different and the starters will play a lot better.

But until now there were some concerning things

The only "organize the offense" players on the team are Herro and likely Kasparas in time..I look at Niko as someone who can do it on the run which is why they have to push pace
