Dillon Brooks is heavily featured in Suns promos and media considering he is a good trade candidate, isn't he?

He is a big part of our core. He is our newest version of PJ Tucker / Jae Crowder, but he is even better than those two on both sides.

He is 29 years old and on a fair deal so I can envision him being a Sun for a long period of time.

Talk about poor timing for us to not have any draft picks to even engage with Ainge on a Markannen trade!

He'd be such a good running mate for Booker.

I remember when he signed that deal. Didn't most think it an overpay?

That's optimistic. But doesn't surprise me :D

I think he'll get traded mid season if the Suns don't have playoff hopes.

This kid is the next Giannis! And is expected to enter either the 29 or 30 draft. Our front office needs to aggressively be following his development and targeting him for our future.

We desperately need to acquire draft capital for both those years with him atop our board in either year.

Saber, I agree with you 100%. GOK and others only interest is having our current roster succeed so we can trade or flip and flop them for someone else and draft picks.

This is before we have played one game.

There is so much too like from this group. I hope they play hard and our youngsters along with my new Favorite Sun Dillon Brooks are here for a very long time.

I guess they are jealous that we did not pick any of their 678,000 prospects they thought would be great for our franchise.

I will just enjoy what we have and what we could be.

Been watching these preseason games. I have to speak the truth, Oso and Dunn kinda stink. This team ain’t going to win more than 30 games. Yeah it’s a refreshing to see a somewhat different roster but the uncomfortable truth is the players we have starting aren’t very good outside Brooks and Booker right now.

Oso is legit trash. I’ve tried to convince myself he’s somewhat decent but he’s not good and I’m not understanding why he’s even get playing time (other than a mandate from ownership to play young players on longer contracts). Feel free to disagree but I believe what I see.
I am such a lucky NBA fan. 8647 My favorite team went from the most greedy and racist owner to the most ego driven dumbass owner in all of sports fdt.

Only a fan of Arizona teams!

If he's any good he will be drafted in the lottery just like Yang Hansen was who was initially viewed as a 2nd round pick.

You are right though that Ishbia needs to start scouting overseas not just domestically because he really needs to find talent in hidden places as we aren't going to be in the lottery anytime soon.

Simple

1) It's preseason
2) Mark Williams will start once the regular season begins.
3) Oso likely 3rd string center behind Richards

I mentioned this somewhere else (cant remember where), but Richards plus Oso could very well be the most common center rotation the Suns use this year.

With Williams out all the time and Maluach being a project, we might just have to get used to those two being the PHX center position.

Not really.....lol.
It is a bit of a conundrum we're in currently do to our lack of current draft assets, as it is really difficult to rebuild properly without the availability of draft picks. I do like our intruiging young prospects, and absolutely hope that they develop into great players that remain with our core.

However, I'm also of the perspective that I don't want to necessarily surrender lottery value to these other teams if at all possible.

So yes, I do have interest in us trying to add a better fitting additional star talent or potentially a lotto pick or two in order to address our future trajectory, rather than just passively surrendering premium value due to our current situation.

Now when I'm talking about the development of our young players, it's to try and competitively mitigate that outgoing value exchange. And when I'm talking about trading for picks or star talent, it's more about leveraging the potential value of players like O'neale, Allen, Williams l, Brooks and/ or J Green IF they can manage to accentuate their value in our system.

For me it's ultimately about two things:

1- Mitigating the surrendered value outgoing to Houston and other teams holding our picks until 2032.

2- utilizing our vet players in trade (if possible) either cumulatively or singularly in trades to add legit talent or replenish draft assets around our young promising core.

Again, a difficult situation to be in, but hopefully one of these two scenarios becomes possible for us to expedite our inevitable rebuild more quickly?

Shaq 2.0 then. Only 50lbs remaining.

I'm kidding obviously, but his face looks fat especially when they focus on it at end of video. Hope it's the lighting.

He is on a crazy good condition for a 7'1/7'2 guy who is just 19 years old.

When you say condition, are you talking about how he physically looks or how he plays? Those are two different things. You could look like prime Karl Malone but carrying new muscle takes so much out of your tank, there's a net negative impact (eg Grayson being slower last season having packed on muscle).

Does that means he's going to not play 82 games for the first time in 2 seasons?
