Predict the First 10 Games

Post#1 » by Troubadour » Thu Oct 16, 2025 1:03 pm

@ Atlanta
V Milwaukee
@ Dallas
@ San Antonio (B2B)
V Houston
@ Cleveland
V Memphis
V Milwaukee
@ Atlanta
@ Philadelphia (B2B)

4 home games, 6 road games. 2 back-to-backs.

My prediction: 3-7 (L, W, L, L, L, L, W, L, L, W)

I'm going to say optimistically 4-6

We'll beat Memphis, Philly, Milwaukee once and either Cleveland or Dallas.

Hell ya, thanks for doing this.

I actually think the Raps are going to get slapped around a bit for the first 10 games. This board is going to be absolute chaos if it happens too, the trade Scottie threads will be rampant, but the schedule is pretty tough early on

@ Atlanta - W
V Milwaukee - L
@ Dallas - L
@ San Antonio (B2B) - L
V Houston - L
@ Cleveland - L
V Memphis - W
V Milwaukee - W
@ Atlanta - L
@ Philadelphia (B2B) - W

The Raptors need to find a way to split (at least) the games against Atlanta and Milwaukee, and win against teams like Memphis and Philly. Anything else is kind of icing on the cake for the first 10 here. If the Raps can come out of the first 10 games with a 4-6 record, that's a pretty good outcome.

They have to win one of the first two games. If they don't, there is a very real chance they come back home to face Houston at 0-4. Worst case scenario is going 0-6 before facing a weaker Memphis team. I agree that 4 or 5 wins should be the aim here. Stay in the fight.

I'm waffling between 5-5 and 6-4. I think 6-4 is pretty doable. These are the for sure losses in my mind:

V Houston
@ Cleveland

Could be, ugly. But I also feel like Atlanta, Milwaukee, Dallas, San Antonio -- Those are all winnable games, aren't they? Raps need to find ways to win games like that if they have playoff aspirations, which I believe they do

I could see a scenario where the Raptors go 3-7 and I could also see a scenario where they go 6-4. The sample size is so small for seeing these guys playing together, it's hard to really know what to expect

San Antonio is also on the second night of a B2B, and playing Dallas early before Flagg gains some experience is a positive

What a weird start. MIL @ TOR twice and TOR @ ATL twice?

W @ Atlanta
W V Milwaukee
L @ Dallas
L @ San Antonio (B2B)
L V Houston
L @ Cleveland
W V Memphis
L V Milwaukee
L @ Atlanta
W @ Philadelphia (B2B)

4-6 - board will have a meltdown at least twice in this span

Tough first 10 games, 4-6 would be great, anything better would be a miracle.

Not a single easy win in the first 10. They could go plausibly go 0-10. I think 3-7 is realistic

I think 5-5.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

If we go 0-10, I'm jumping on the #LooseForBooze train.

I'm pretty high on Atlanta. We're also catching them when they are at full health and playing with a lot to prove. A near guaranteed loss in my opinion.

I have the Raptors splitting with the Bucks and leaning towards them winning at home for the home opener. Going 2-0 wouldn't shock me, but I also don't know they handle Giannis and four shooters. On the other end, Giannis and Turner will shut off the paint for a putrid outside shooting team.

A Dallas team at full health will be overwhelming to play. AD has a lot to prove and it's on the road. The Spurs game might be more gettable if De'Aaron Fox isn't healthy, but it's still a back to back.

There's a box for 10-0 but no box for 0-10 ? I'd think 0-10 is much more likely than 10-0.

Starting lineup might look shakey as i feel they might not mesh well togehter and not enough spacing....Barnes in the preseason does not look like he will have a near All star season....Barnes would have to have taken a big leap in his game for us to be a legit playoff team which is what i think we are expecting this season but my confidence in that is low.

I think we start 3-7 or 4-6

Slightly under .500 sounds about right. Unless the bottom drops out.
