It was...biblical. Pasadena was not prepared for the onslaught of people. Bars were packed, and the one we were at ran out of some beer. And it was HOT. But it was pretty amazing to walk down the street and sing any lyric and someone would either turn around and cheer or sing along. Vibes were all love, which leads to the show...

I 100%, agree, they sounded amazing and it was so LOUD. The experience felt cathartic. We were in about row 20, left of the stage. Sun down and it was 70- degrees. **** in the Bushes came on and I was excited. Gen pop started bouncing when they started Hello. Then when Liam started in on, "I don't feel as if I know you", I lost my ****.

I cried during Champagne Supernova thinking about myself at 16/17, young, idealistic, so angry, and how much that music (and West Coast gangster rap) gave me an outlet and words that matched my feelings. I was also with 2 of my oldest friends that I've known since grade school and my wife. My voice and ears were trashed by the end of that show. And yes, the come down and re-entry were no joke. It was a complete dopamin dump that I'm still recovering from.

Biblical, Celestial, Majestical, Spiritual! Los Angeles Vibes in the areaaaaauhh.

Great write up - thanks for sharing. As I stated a few posts earlier, I've always been more of a Noel fan and have seen him live quite a few times. But seeing Liam walk (that walk!) on stage and show up in jumbotron was something I'll never forget. He just looked so **** cool.

Cast No Shadow, Talk Tonight, Little by Little, and Whatever were some favorites of mine. But there wasn't a single miss all night. Setlist was perfect.

He is the one player I wish was healthy all year but I do not complain about it. You can't control that so why cry?

Horizon/West from Thrice is really, really good. Maybe their first great release since 2007. AFI's new release is really bad, at least if you were hoping for something resembling their 2001 tunes. It's a bad take on the Cure.

I have no idea what Taylor Swift is doing but the lyrics I've seen floating around are bad for a 12 year old's Live Journal. What in the hell was she thinking.

I saw Ace with the original Kiss lineup and with his own band. He couldn't read music and had a very unorthodox style but the guy could play.

Everything about Ryan Adams makes me sad (and angry). I wish I meant his music, but alas, I do not.

For some reason I follow him on FB and he's gone absolutely off the deep end lately.

It kind of seems like Isbell blowing up made him lose his mind.

It's great, but I also really liked Horizon/East.

A friend of mine was at the Melbourne gig, which I think was the worst of the tour. He effectively described it as "sad, I don't think that Ryan is well".
