I honestly believe it’s how we are playing offense. I feel like we are playing the opposite of how we are supposed to play with these guys.

I am not worried about Bane or Tyus lol.
Fine print disclaimer for Fultz:
I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.

Meanwhile KCP is lighting it up in Memphis (8-14 or 57% in 3 games)

I can understand the frustration of our new additions (Bane and Tyus) watching how we play offense. How can guards get into a rythym when they are constanly asked to pass the ball off to our 2 6’10” forwards on the perimeter and asked to stand in the corner. It’s nonsense. there is very little for them to get involved. And we keep seeing this year after year after year. Go watch other teams play. The guards are involved. Put in pick and rolls and the forwards and centers are setting screens etc. This offense makes no sense. And we’re seeing guys who shoot 40 percent not making shots and guys with low turnover rates making bad passes. The problem is our offensive philosophy.

That's what we want Suggs to do. Tyus can do whatever he wants with the second unit.

They definitely need to figure out how to get Bane involved though. I only watched a little but it looked like he was trying to be overly selfless. Even in transition he decided to pass out instead of launching a rhythm 3. He'll be fine but if they want to maximize him they'll need to adapt.

Maybe it's Bane that should go out early and then come back in to run the offense with Tyus.

I don't think I've seen Bane in the corner for most of this game.. he is just playing passive when he has open shots but he's also being doubled almost every play.

There are some plays where Franz/Paolo get walled off from their iso and need to hit someone open instead of doing a tough fadeaway, otherwise the ball is moving well.

Some of you guys are way too make/miss oriented rather than looking at the game imo. There's a reason we're scoring 120+ a game and on pace again this game. They don't tell the bench to play with a different philosophy than the starters lol.

The shots Bane did miss were wide ass open, and Tyus's turnover was clearly his mistake since he threw his hand up and mistimed how fast he threw it with WCJ going to the basket (who was pretty open). I don't see how any of that relates to offensive philosophy.

tldr: They'll be fine. Integrating any new player is tough but two people like Bane/Tyus who will functionally change the offense will take time, but this team will ALWAYS be built around Paolo/Franz and the warts that exist within their own preferences of how they want to play.

Failing defensively this quarter. Whatever. I say just play the bench the rest of the way.

I think they need to go deeper on the bench to play this pace.
