So when is the public campaign to call for Marky Mark to sell the team? Selig knew when he didn't have the cash to compete. Mark's turn unless he wants to pay for guys who can actually hit in the playoffs.

You know they won't. Just like you know there's not a single media outlet or journalist in Milwaukee who will ask Attanasio about it when it happens, and that all the local dolts will continue to harp about what a golden era of Brewers baseball this is regardless.

No one expects a $200 million payroll. But fans continue to show up and the valuation of the team is $1.7 billion (bought for $223 million). Payroll has been flat. Ridiculous.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

So boring. Who watches MLB, even the playoffs, besides the fanbases of the teams playing? I haven’t watched a single non-Brewers game this year including the playoffs. If I weren’t a Brewer fan, no chance I would be watching this series. Just not compelling, not fun.

Oh I know. They'll yuck it up and wax poetic about this season with Attanasio at the beginning of the season and ask how do you keep competing and all that BS. Meanwhile the Blue Jays #9 hitter just gave them a lead with a home run while we're impressed when our cleanup hitter weakly grounds out to 2nd.

They are more likely to hang a NLCS banner than to fully invest into the team sadly.

For non Brewers playoff games I will only tune into elimination games and only if it's close in the 8th inning.

Yup, people will give in. Twins fans were staying home at the beginning of the season, and as soon as they had their 13-game win streak they got suckered in to going back to the games.

I keep wanting to quit the Brewers every few years because it's demoralizing to be a big market farm team that never wins anything but these types of seasons keep stringing you along. I guess the good news is that I don't even feel bad at this point since the expectations are 0. Can't wait for the 50th anniversary celebration for the loser 82 team before they actually win one.

Overall it goes to show, you have to spend a little or be super lucky.

Probably both.

Hope we can mount a comeback. Im guessing we take next 3 and lose game 7. Now that is the Wisconsin luck we know.

At least they have Miz and Chourio for another 6 years, need to build around them and trade Yelich this off-season.

Chourio for 8 more (there are 2 team options). I'd love to trade Yelich if the money saved would be put back into payroll and not into Mark's pocket. He's owed $70 million though.

Selig lobbied for a new stadium in order to compete and then pocketed the extra cash. Payroll the year before Miller Park opened was $35.8 million. 4 years later it was $27.5 million. Attanasio did increase payroll for awhile but this year it was pretty much what it was in 2015.

I hate to put it this way, but they could put another $100 million in the roster and we'd still be big time underdogs to take a 7 game series off this dodgers team.

Team won't ever amount to more than this with Attanasio controlling the payroll.

I don't buy that. $100 million can buy a lot of talent if spent right. We'd be underdogs but not big time.

But we don't need to spend $100 million to compete. Our pitching was great in the playoffs. Need to upgrade the offense.

The thing is everyone wanted them to go spend on a 3B this year and then Durbin has been great. People were ecstatic when we signed Hoskins and he was a bad signing. Could we use another bat? Sure, but one extra bat isnt winning this series. The Dodgers are just on a completely different level than us

Disagree... one more bat, especially if it's someone who can produce in the postseason and the Brewers possibly beat the Cubs in three...get more rest.

Even if that doesn't happen, that one guy could've helped us win game one or three vs LA with a clutch hit or two.

I mean our biggest letdowns from a hitter standpoint have been Yelich, Turang, Contreras, & Frelick. I dont think anyone ever seriously wanted to bring in a bat over those guys. Players like Durbin & Bauers who fans wanted us to replace have been our two of our better hitters.
