The man turned back the clock. I will no longer call him Max "Meatball" Scherzer. It also worked out not having Santander play the outfield in this critical game. Having a terrible defender like him instead of Barger would have been a major negative. Let's win tomorrow and close it out in Toronto!
My sentiments exactly. Very glad I was wrong, and Sherzer showed out.
For what ever threat or perception of a threat Santander is/was, he hasn’t done enough offensively for this team to put up with his bad fielding. I was so glad he came out for IKF and Barger shifted to RF. Going forward i’d like for this to be the way they use Santander, first 2 innings, if he’s an easy out, quick pull for IKF/Straw.
