Who cares. The only stat that matters is that we scored more runs then them. Max pitched awesome, this was a beauty game. Give it a rest

Results certainly matter more than process this time of year, yes

Maybe the FO will finally figure that out

We ain't letting Bryce Miller beat us again tomorrow.

Just need Gaus to pitch a gem.

Woo will be ready to dominate us behind Miller even if Miller doesn’t

All comes down to Gausman again

So the obvious move will be to pull him early after 1 bad pitch!

Get Bassitt ready tonight

Best infielder in the sport and is a capable hitter. Only 27y/o.

As crazy as it seems Bo's injury was a blessing in disguise. Our infield is ridiculously good and now with Santander out our outfield is matching our infield. Somehow we don't miss their production at all. The perfect scenario would be beating the Mariners and Bo coming back as a DH in the WS.

I did mention back in September that of our stars Bo is one you can replace the easiet over a short stretch (key word being short here cause over 162 ernie and gimenez cant keep up at all) cause if Gimenez/Clement get hot our defense is a lot better.

I am willing to eat crow on Scherzer. Based on his last 6 brutal Starts, I thought he would implode eventually and the Mariners would pummel him as the game progresses. The man turned back the clock. I will no longer call him Max "Meatball" Scherzer. It also worked out not having Santander play the outfield in this critical game. Having a terrible defender like him instead of Barger would have been a major negative. Let's win tomorrow and close it out in Toronto!

Last time we played a three game set in Seattle, we swept it.

Lets do that this time as well. One game at a time.

Final score: 8-5

Well, I was half right.

My sentiments exactly. Very glad I was wrong, and Sherzer showed out.

For what ever threat or perception of a threat Santander is/was, he hasn’t done enough offensively for this team to put up with his bad fielding. I was so glad he came out for IKF and Barger shifted to RF. Going forward i’d like for this to be the way they use Santander, first 2 innings, if he’s an easy out, quick pull for IKF/Straw.

Schneider was always going to ask for his opinion. If not, he would’ve tapped his arm long before he got that close to the mound. It was a little bit “for the cameras“ imho. But glad Max backed it up. Snider should probably do that every inning just to piss him off. Lol.

US Media, if I had to guess. He knows he's being broadcast everywhere with reporters who don't know him well, and wants to make sure he's not misunderstood.

If we win tomorrow, would it cross John S. mind to start Bassitt game 6 given his undefeated record at home this year and after seeing Max step up?

I think him (and a lot of Spanish speaking players) use translators when they’re speaking to a lot of reporters, or reporters they don’t know, stuff like that. They don’t want to be misquoted, or say something they don’t mean, etc. He interviewed in English with Hazel Mae after the game.

He’s been doing interviews in English all post season though

Vlad goes English with reporters/media he trusts

He had a bad experience once with that idiot Arash Madani who allegedly misreported what he said which stopped him from doing it for a while

Interview with Ken Rosenthal was in English as well.
