The offensive plays are called “headless chickens” and “chuck and duck.”

We’re in for a great season.

I think we have the personnel to do it offensively. It may take a little time to gel.

Yes. Mitch doesn’t have the ability or bandwidth to functionally run these plays. It shows his inability to dribble or pass, and how that gums up the offense

This was why I was against Mike's hire... but obviously he's the head coach now, I'm supporting him

For this same exact reason I was big on us going outside the box and hiring Bill Laimbeer... he's a tough guy would not have anyone walk all over him, he's a bad cop who can play a nice cop too... the key is he's tough enough to handle the NY media and market... Mike can only play nice at some point it would bite him in the ass

One thing thats alittle discouraging for me is that despite everything we've seen so far the knicks still ranked 30th in pace this preseason. And look if it was always gonna be like this and it was promoted Id be fine but pace was the first thing we were told would change and it got worse if anything. Sortve means coach hasn't had any real influence exceot not calling plays

The expectation is that he would change the tendencies of an established roster of vets 100% in 5 preseason games where they are barely playing?

Well yes, because I thought it wasn't necessarily thier tendency but rather Thibs holding them back. Guess Thibs DID tailor his system to the roster he had. Did I think we'd look like the Dantoni Suns? No but I didnt think our pace would be even slower than it was under a coach I thought kept plays slow. Thats all Im saying.

Looks like you thought right. Here's our pace every year under Thibs:

96.7
95.2
97.1
95.9
95.9

Through 3 games, our pace this year is 99.5, which would have been 12th in the league last year, compared to the 25th we were under Thibs.
BaF Lakers:

Nikola Topic/Kasparas Jakucionis
VJ Edgecombe/Jrue Holiday
Shaedon Sharpe/Cedric Coward
Kyle Filipowski/Collin Murray-Boyles
Alex Sarr/Clint Capela

Bench: Malcolm Brogdon/Hansen Yang/Rocco Zikarsky/RJ Luis Jr.

But its not.

Even without stats, you can just watch the games and see they are playing much faster with a lot more movement.

We're currenly ranked 27th in offense. An absolute downgrade under Mike Brown.

We were told how awful the offense looked in preseason was "preseason" and it would look right in the regular season.

So far, it looks exactly the same.

Next up:

It'll look good in 20 games
It'll look at the all star break
Don't worry, it only needs to look good in the playoffs

Finally:
It'll look good after another training camp

3 games. Why do you stay loyal to ex Knicks while constantly crapping on the people that replaced them? Your "absolutes" are about as concrete as rice pudding. Once again......we played 3 games.

Realistically, it was probably always gonna take 30-45 games.

But some of the old problems still remain. Towns can't play the 5. Mitch needs to be healthy. And the bench needs to show more.

I appreciate that brown plays the bench more and in doing so he’s showing that thibs didn’t have a bench in the first place. I mean I understand why we moved on but at the same time let’s not act like we had some great depth that should have been playing. Idk I’m feeling kind of jaded with it all.

4 potential assists per game, let's assume 50% shooting, that's 5 more points per game, assuming one of the shots made is a 3.

Yay?!
