Embiid has been cleared to play tonight in the Sixers final preseason game. There are reports that he wont play back to backs this year, but he is expected to play vs us on opening night. But with him, who knows.

Paul George is expected to be out on opening night. They keep saying he's made "significant progress" rehabbing after his knee surgery, but he's still not ready.

Go C's and all that!

Yeah so they will probably have Embiid.

But no George and no McCain.

Everyone healthy for us.

Should be a win for us but we'll see..Sixers often play us tough..we gotta be ready to bring it.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

This is it. First game and all but the important thing is this is it - I have to make a decision on whether I am paying for a way to watch the games this season. I am done w/cable, I thought about getting Peacock with the NBC sports addon but I'm on the fence as the C's have 25 nationally televised games (some will still be on NBC sports but not all) and the later rounds of the playoffs which we will obviously  be involved in won't be available.
I cancelled cable late season last year and I really didn't miss watching 50+ 3's a night, I get why the game is played the way it is and having a top offense for multiples seasons in a row I can't argue... but it's boring to watch and watching isn't free.

Sounds like 50/50 he plays opening night, I'm gonna guess he's going to be out first game of the year and maybe 1-2 others

They are cutting quite a bit more this year, and the offense has looked more to run and generate open looks off cuts versus last year when it was a lot more stationary outside the 3pt line... I'm more excited for this year than I was for last year at this time. Last presason, I realized C's were just trying to math-coast to the playoffs and the result was the most boring contending team of my fandom... Even D White was like, "I've lost the joy for basketball"

I'm a lot more excited for this yr's ups and downs and new players & returning players trying to step up to new roles

Same here. I'm 41 years old now and I admit that I'm probably going to be more entertained watching the young guys this year than watching the supposed "contending" team of last year. When we only look at sports as wins and losses instead of entertainment it takes just about all of the joy away. Just my two cents.

Agree.

Just because the Sacramento Kings have not been to the Finals, that doesn't mean their fans are miserable.

I will watch every game, but it’ll be really tough knowing this is not a championship team like the last 2 seasons.

I felt it in 09 after winning the championship, in 08 it was all out most nights and then in 09 it was "stay healthy and fresh for the playoffs". I get it but it's not much fun to watch teams coast. Felt a little of that last year but it was the 3's that took more of the fun out of it for me. Or possibly it's just because I've barely missed a game in over 20 years and I'm just losing a little interest. I still really like the team, I find JT, JB, and DW really easy to cheer for and I'm excited to see what the mini reboot looks like.

We won't know that for sure until March.

It should be rather obvious. If he is not 100 percent, then he can't play.

And if he is indeed out, I hope Boston. Doesn't go with a small lineup of p p white and simon.. I iwould atart Minott with PP White Queta and Boucher..

No point messing with hamstrings this early in the year. It's not about wins and losses this year. It's about finding and developing rotation players for 26-27. We'll probably lose a lot but this will be an interesting season...

Just gotta re-focus. It's about building towards next year. Think of it as a 164 game season. Tatum back at halfway point.
