he's been pretty decent in the Sept/ Oct. Little has been way worse.

I’m not arguing that using Little was the right move

I’m arguing that Hoffman isn’t the right choice either there (and he’s been bad if you look past the results and how he’s actually been pitching)

its a result oriented game. Hoffman has been less erratic but definitelty not on the same level as the one we've come to know him by through most of the year.

Hoffman is your closer, it was the heart of their lineup, it would have been the right move no matter what would have happened. We all knew that Little would be a problem in the playoffs, dude can't throw strikes in the regular season why try it in the playoffs? Again if you wanted a lefty Fluharty was the one to put in, he's not afraid. I want to be super mad but Schneider has never been there before, he made an unexperienced stupid mistake. Rally the troops and win the next two and you're forgiven.

He doesn't have to pitch two innings. You use him for the 8th in the highest leverage scenario against the top of their lineup and then go to Fisher or someone else in the 9th against the worse hitters.

That’s true, in a low leverage situation

That also doesn’t mean he’s been good or somebody worth trusting against a 60 HR hitter in a one run game

Easiest decision in the world was to not go to Little at any point in this game.Early season Schneider isnt working here ,now.

Hoffman literally has pitched in 10 run games this postseason, they don’t use him as a trustworthy reliever and that’s because he isn’t

I suspect it was deliberate. Woo had quite good command of his pitches up to that point. I'm really angry right now so much so that I want to punch a hole in my wall!

Little literally crying in his post game. He shouldn’t have been put in the situation. I feel badly for him.

Listening to Little in the post game, sounds like he’s about to break down or maybe already did

I genuinely feel bad for him. No one in the world except Schneider thought it was a good spot for Little

This isn’t on Little. This is entirely on Schneider

Dude, he has given up 2 runs in his last 16 outings and has been legitimately good in the playoffs. He is pitching fine right now as proven by last night. The fact that he wasn't put into the game is absurd.

Lol at citing ERA as some kind of indication of how well he’s been pitching.

He looked like a complete disaster in September, he allowed the most HRs of any RP in baseball on the season and his command has been all over the place in October other than last night

He’s not been good since July but sure definitely a guy worth trusting against Cal Raleigh in a one run game haha

If you think Hoffman has looked like a disaster, how exactly do you think Little has looked?

The isn’t hindsight, I don’t think there was a single person watching that game who thought bringing in Little was a good decision.

Great matchups for him against Randy and Suarez and he just didn’t get it done

He didn't. But the pitch wasn't bad. Fastball away. Suarez was just sitting on it because the bases were loaded. To say that Dominguez wasn't any better than Little isn't fair.

It is fair, the guy allowed a backbreaking grand slam after hitting a guy in great matchups for him statistically

Little was put against Cal Raleigh for who knows what reason

I said three days ago that both Little and Dominguez should be replaced in the off-season with better options, and others disagreed. You need to prioritize getting Strike Throwers and not nervous wrecks like Little with atrocious control and velocity. Little's numbers since August 29 are a disgrace. He will never recover from this melt down. Good luck elsewhere in 2026.

No, please tell us more about why using the reliever with the most HRs allowed in baseball against a 60HR hitter was such a no brainer

Today’s outcome was on the FO for not building a good enough bullpen as much as it was on Little, Schneider or anyone else
