Series tied 2-2!
What a game from Scherzer. My apologies for doubting him.

Context matters though. Raptors lost the first 2 @Bucks while the Jays lost the first 2 @home & will be @Seattle for the next 3 games due to 2-3-2 playoff format. We'll need to take at least 2 of 3 on the road and then sweep remaining games at home. Not impossible, but there's more context...
Pitching is key in baseball and Seattle beat us using their 4th and 5th best starter. Their top 2 pitchers from the ALDS, Kirby and Castillo are starting games 3-4, and then Bryan Woo - their pitching ace - will likely be back pitching Game 5, if they need.
Still not impossible, but it's an extremely steep hill because it's hard to set up Seattle to be in a better position than where they're at now to beat us.
Kirby, Castillo, Woo are all ace level SP and better than any pitcher we have. And their bullpen is also elite, unlike our collection of dumpster findings.
In other words
Wow, tough crowd. All I said was we need some similarities with what happened with the Raptors. Good luck to the Jays! This is more than I could say for the last decade

What a game. You can see that the blue jays want this so bad. Wish we can see this determination in our raptors (hopefully). Especially Barnes

Without even seeing who posted this, I could tell this is a Del Abbott post. It pains him to see this team doing well.

Subbing in the bench when you're up 2 points with a few minutes left.
He put in the worst reliever (with much better options available), against their best hitters with a 1 run lead.

Re: OT: Blue Jays beat Yankees, move on to ALCS
Schneider used his leverage guys yesterday against their heart of the order in a blowout type of game and then used possibly his worst pitcher in the 8th inning of the ALCS 2-1 game with a chance to go up in the series. It doesn’t get dumber than this.
If this was a collective decision through analytics, that’s even worse

What’s funny is the Mariners intentionally put Naylor behind two switch hitters and flipped their lineup hoping Schneider would do this, and he did it. They knew he always overthought the pitching matchups and has been getting away with quite a bit with some wild bullpen innings so far this post season.
A fan sitting ant home could see what the Mariners were doing and the guy being paid millions who lives in baseball couldn’t lol

I was in the Reddit game thread and absolutely everyone knew that putting Little into that situation was going to end up in a disaster and cost us the game.
Schneider was the single person that thought it was a good idea.

Telling Kawhi to sit out the last play against Philly because theyre too familiar with his offense and you've got a hunch that Jeremy Lin can get that last bucket for you.

Re: OT: Blue Jays beat Yankees, move on to ALCS
Dominguez hit a guy and then gave up a grand slam. Just two bad pitching performances. The Mariners didn't outsmart the Jays. The Jays didn't execute on many fronts, which gave the Mariners the opportunity in a high-pressured environment.
This is all gravy since the Jays are missing one of the best players in the MLB. Santander out now, too. Berrios out. That's a lot of salary that can't help them. There's so much entitlement online with this fanbase, but this has been one of the most enjoyable Jays seasons since the early 90s. They have two home games to get to the World Series on one leg.
